Minimum rights on XP Pro to install Wireless card and run Remote Desktop?
We would like to setup XP laptops in a way that the user can install
their own wireless card, connect to the internet, launch VPN and
launch Remote Desktop. They do not need to be able to do anything
else.
Can we just add them to the network configuration operators group and
use the local security policy to load and unload device drivers or
would more need to be done? Will a wireless car...

Here is where my question comes into play at. The number listed above
(222222) is my PCID # which is found by opening up a command prompt and

Global Groups and the resources they give access to??
Hey folks, newbie here..
Are there any utilities within Windows Server 2003 or Active Directory that

Preventing and removing security blocks in file properties/attribu
Does anyone know (a) how to prevent WinXP SP3 from adding the new "Security"
file attribute to every single file I download, and/or (b) whether there is a
global command to unblock the "Security" file attribute for all files I've
downloaded since upgrading to SP3, rather than having to click "Unblock" for
every single file? Thanking all responders in advance ... Dave...

Folder Permissions
I want to change the permissions on a folder but I do not want it to change
the permissions on the subfolders or files within that folder.
Can I do this or do I have to go to each subfolder AFTER I change the
permissions and remove the inheritance? I would hate to do that because
this folder has hundreds of subfolders.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jasper

Hi,
Just bought a legit copy of XP Home but I'm suspicious that the box

Login to web based exchange. I login with correct user and password.
Login from IE I received rhcc2.RHCC... on the top of the login bar. But
that isn't my server name or owa address.
Other computer with same login and pass and same address works fine.
I suspect the computer is compromised but have no idea where to start
