how do i configure??
this question has probably been answered many times and if so add me to the
list.;o)
i have a laptop with a wireless data card for internet access. i have
multiple desktops that i would like to connect thru a router via ethernet
connections and have them be able to access the internet via the laptop's
wireless data card.
is this possible and if so, how do i configure things??? thank...

XP to Mac direct connect via ethernet cable
Ok I simply want to do (2) things:
Share files between my PC and Mac
Connect my Mac to the internet via my PC
Hardware info:
PC: Intel D940, Windows XP Home SP2
PCI to PCMCIA Adapter Card
Cellular Internet Connection through Pantech PC5750 AirCard
VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter

Home network problem

Cannot ping other machine on P2P network...why?
Hi, I have two PCs, one running XP Home, the other XP Pro, both on SP3.
Plugged in a crossover network cable to join the two-P2P, no hubs or anything.
XP Home IP=192.168.1.2
XP Pro IP=192.168.0.1 (set up by Networking Wizard).
I cannot ping between the 2 PCs (ie. ping 192.168.0.1 from 192.168.1.2 and
vice versa).

Still having problems with home network
I am still having problems accessing shares on other computers of my home
network. I have been following threads here to see if others are having the
same or similar problems with their networks. Evidently I don’t understand
some of the things mentioned here and would like to find someone that can

Need input on setting up SHARED FOLDERS
Hello,
I have a situation where I have two shared folders (setup about a year apart
in time each), which I had read/write rights establised.
Now I'm only able write to one (the oldest one) and the newer one I can only
read it, but not write any longer.

Just Got My Machine Working Again, And Now This

Prevent access to shared files from other PCs on xp home network
I want to provide internet-only connectivity for my renter's PC via my home
router's LAN port 4. It shouldn't be able to access shared files and folders
within my PCs networked by the same router. All of my PCs use XP home, but
I can't know what PC will be used by my renter.
I've learned to use XP home in safe mode to utilize XP pro sharing
permissons, but I can't get XP home to 'see'...

Vista computer added to XP network and 1 of 3 comnputers only half receives
I just bought new laptop and it has Vista on it (why did Microsoft have to

IE explorere can't connect for one User

I've got a Dell PC. It is set up with XP Home SP3. The PC has AVG
anti-virus, and ZoneLabs Free Firewall. Both are set to auto-update, and the
PC is clean
It connects via ethernet cable to a belkin router. this is then connected

Is there a step by step tut somewhere that I can use to connect, 3 computers
to my wireless router. Two of them are hardwired into the router but the
third is a laptop in another room. It has XP Home as the OS, the 2n one has
XP Pro as the OS and the Master desktop with Vista OS computer will share my
images, my printer and My Documents shared with the other 2.

Wireless DSL Interference Problem: Disconnections
I have two separate phone lines in my house. My DSL access point is
connected to line A and a phone-fax machine combo (with a wireless phone) to

Internet connection works, Browser does not.

Remember network password
Hi,
I just installed Vista Home and i am unable to have windows remember the
password to my network drives. This happens for a samba as well as a
standalone network disk. It keeps asking me for the password after each
reboot. Vista is not in a domain, it is just a workgroup.

Clients slow to crawl when old server is disconnected network
I have an issue that has been driving me insane. I have 4 Windows XP Pro SP3
workstations. All the Accounting Dept PC’s. I also have an old Windows 2000

Do you know any software that logs the PC's (same as sw is running on
is ok) all processes communicating with internet (TCP&UDP), what IP's
they contact and most important, what files/programs/services that is

Mobile Broadband / Ethernet clash

Sharing folders problem.
Main PC using XP Pro/SP3, 3 HDD's split into a number of partitions, hard
wired to wireless modem/router
Have enabled sharing on these partitions.
