Accessing hard drive thru VPN
I am able to connect to my work computer from home (both XP) thru a
VPN connection, then I have a link to my hard drive, but as of lately
when I try to open it, it is asking for a password. I enter my
password that I use to login to that work computer, but it says it is
incorrect. How I can find out what password or login is the correct
one?...

do these IPs make sense?
Computer is connected to broadband "modem" and configured for DHCP (I think
it's Time Warner). Worked here, doesn't work at owner's location. Only one
computer connected, yet cannot access Internet. May be ISP problem,
certainly, and we're checking on that. But the numbers just seemed not
quite right.
running ipconfig shows this:
IP address: 75.82.38.76
Subnet mask: 255.255.240...

Win XP Client L2TP IPSec VPN to OS X Server
Are there any guidelines or help files on how to setup an L2TP IPSec VPN
connection to a MAC OS X server (10.5) using the "Create a new connection"
wizard.
Or does anyone know of a third party software that would help achieving this?
(P.S. I am not interested in a PPTP here, strictly L2TP IPSec VPN)
Thank you so much in advance for any feedback & Happy Holidays everyone....

Network adapter not showing up in Device Manager
hi. I'm trying to fix up my husband's computer which is slow. He is using XP.
I thought maybe I should update the adapter drivers and when I looked in
device manager, it shows 3 adapters but none of them are the one we are
actually using. I asked to scan for new hardware and the result was nothing.
Device manager shows the adapters are:
6T04 Adapter

They are connected to a wireless router.
I set up a network to share files and a printer and it works fine for a

Slow network connection
My PC is connected to a LAN. When I boot the PC, the connection works
normally. However, after about 15 minutes of use (or 15 minutes idle), the
speed of the connection suddenly drops. The connection is still there but so
slow that it becomes unusable. If I re-boot, the process is repeated. Other
PC's on the network are all working normally.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Slow LAN network connection in Windows XP Home
Hi
I have a 100MB LAN connection between a Windows Vista and a Windows XP home
computer. Transfering data between this two computers is very very slow
(between 0.5% and 1% of the 100MB). As soon as the Windows XP home computer
goes into the screen saver mode, the connection speed increases into 100%!
Does anybody have any idea what is that and how it can be fixed?
Thanks in advance!...

subnet mask 255.255.0.0. The Default Gateway field is empty. D...
