Error message at start up
When I open WMM I immediately get a message that says "Windows Movie Maker
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience." The only options at that point is to send or not send an
error report, or to debug, any of which automatically close the program. It
used to work. Thank you for considering this problem....

last letter of title is gone
I am losing the last letter of some of my titles. They are there on the
computer
but not after the dvd is burned. I have othet titles with the same font that
is longer and all the letters are there. please help??...

WMM - error during startup
I just got a new (1 year old used) computer. I did all of the necessary
updates (so I think) since the computer has been in storage. BUT, when I try
and access WMM, it opens up and immediately gives me WMM has encountered a
problem, sorry for the inconvenience. This is completely frustrating.
I have searched high and low on how to figure out the problem. Do I

General Access denied Error
I just upload my computer to Vista and Now I can't open my movie maker.. This

publishing a film
I edited a film and now I want to publish it
but my computer only want's to take the dvd-disk as source
even if I copy it to my desktop
it still uses the E:
how can I change this settings?
because if I take the source DVD out, al the edited material goes blank

Importing Video Error
When i try to import my video which is MPEG it always comes up that it has

PC won't record certain sequences from camera
After 14 hours of successful transfering, editing and dubbing to DVDs, a
particularly precious sequence of 2 clips isn't able to be captured. I tried
doing it manually...even tried different choices from "other settings" but
the capture stops at the beginning of the clip nor can it be recorded mid-way
through the clip...and the following clip records but with fits and starts.

Some of my friends and family who view my website do not know how to download
Quick-time or Media Player, is there a format or script that i can do it for

publish movie
after editing I want to publish
but that doesn't work
the edit takes it's source from the DVD it was originally on
I can't change the settings to get the source from C:
even if I copy the original on the desktop
movie maker still picks from E:
how can I change that?
(since I only have 1 dvd-player in my computer, publishing seems impossible)

saving on going MM projects
Several times, when I have saved an on going Movie Maker project (.mswmm)
upon opening it to work on it again, it has been lost. The project opens all
right but all frames have red X’s –no pictures or video. Now I have a
completed project that did the same thing but with transitions and titles
still in place. Any thoughts on how I can solve this problem and retrieve
these projects? ...

text effects not working correctly
I'm using the scrolling text with perspective in my movie, but it gets jerky
at times. Is this a problem with Moviemaker or my system? The jerky
effects continue when coverted to a movie and burned to DVD. Is there
anything I can do to smooth out these text effects?

Dtaes on movies
When I recorded my movie on a camcoder it had the date on all the clips. When
I transferred it to my PC with Windows Movie Maker the dates disappear. Is
there any way to keep these dates on the clips for when I transfer it to a
DVD?
It is sometimes useful to know when an actual movie clip was taken.
I have Windows Vista Home Premium.

Change duration time of a picture displayed
Is there a way to individually change the time a picture displays ? I am
trying to synch a sound track with words to a series of pictures I want to
use, and I can calculate how long I want a picture to display while the sound
track is playing.
However I can't find a way of changing the duration time a picture displays,
other than the generic one which changes the display time for all pi...

WMM: Can't start Video Capture Wizard
Tried using Movie Maker (2.1) for the first time. When I try to capture
video, I don't get the Capture Wizard; the program just hangs up. I
searched Microsoft Help & FAQ pages. They say I should be able to locate the
Video Capture Wizard by running "regedit" and navigating to
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MM20\Video Capture Wizard].
I can find the MM20 folder, but it does not ...

Saved Movie File
When I preview my pictures in the storyboard, they are clear. But when I

Video Capture skips Audio
My Haupage 150 generates mpg files Movie Maker won't take so I used the
composite input to get video from my VCR instead. Movie Maker will accept
that video but there is no option to get the audio from the composite input.
How can this be worked around? Or is Movie Maker in need of a new release?

Saving Movie Files for YouTube
Movie Maker only allows me to Save Movie Files to send to 2 webhosts that I
have no account with. I doubt they even exist anymore. Does anyone know how
to save videos with Movie Maker in the right format so that I can upload them
to YouTube?...
