AMD Athlon 64 FX-74 4x4
Like a real 4x4, this was intended to be a strong performer, only AMD
would be relying on two processor sockets to achieve this performance
rather than one.

HELP new drive not recognize by XP
I just bought a new hard drive and the BIOS see it with no problem.
When Windows Explorer is open, it does not assign it a drive letter.
If I go to Disk Management, it shows up as UNALLOCATED.
I believe this means that it is not partitioned or formatted.
If I can't get WinXP to assign a drive letter to it, how can I
partition it or format it ?
Thanks,
Terry

IDE to SATA accomplished
My object was to move XP w/SP2 from an ide drive to a new SATA drive. My
installation was different in that I have 3rd party boot manager and windows
Millenium Edition on another partition. ME, independent of XP, was hidden
by the boot manager when booting XP. XP partition is NTFS. The boot
manager depends on ME partition for some of its files. As I learned later,
ME will not work o...

WEEE
Apologies if this is off topic but it is hardware related.
Could someone please suggest a link to a useful web site with guidance on
WEEE.
I refurbish (i.e. sell second user) computers and sometimes acquire kit (new
and refurbished) from my hardware supplier - we are talking in very small
numbers. I would assume that I am caught by the WEEE regulations. If so
would it be acceptable...

appear to be Gateway overstock...they have a Gateway BIOS splash screen.
Does anybody know if we can simply flash the BIOS with the latest generic

clear for my Bluetooth dongle and a new 8gb U3 flash drive I have ordered.
Devices were redetected and installed OK but then the boot process between

Rolling wheel on mouse in not smooth on screen.
I have two PCs with XP and each is acting different.
On my latest setup, I get lines across my screen moving vertically when I
roll the wheel on my mouse. I am wanting a smooth transition when moving up

How can I get a smooth transition with my mouse?
