how to delete "you are a pirated copy victime warning"?
Well, it's appeared some time after I installed XP and there is kind of a
star in the bar where from the warning comes up. On startup too there is a
warning of the same kind.
Is it possible to get rid of them?
Thank you

Wireless Mouse Troubleshooting
I am a computer tech providing phone support for a user who has a
wireless mouse connected to her PC, which has been working fine until
today -- Now wherever she moves the mouse pointer it automatically
registers a left-mouse click without her clicking, as though the left
button was stuck.
Over the phone, I've had her replace the batteries, press "reset" button
on the receiver, unpl...

Windows with 2 cursors
I've had this thought for years --- what if the Window's UI supports 2
cursors?
I like to draw, and when I draw, I draw with both hands. Not one hand
at a time, but both hands simultaneously. This is something that I've
trained myself to do since I was a kid.
But anyway, back to the 2 cursor thing --- if the Windows UI does
support 2 cursors, then I would be able to do more things at onc...

Is a 32 GB to 100 GB HD upgrade possible
Hi All,
A customer has a used laptop with a defective
Toshiba HDD2181 32 GB ATA hard drive in it.
I was thinking of replacing it with a Seagate
ST9100828AS ATA 100 GB drive.
Question: somewhere in the cobwebs in the
back of brain, I remember there being a 32 GB BIOS
barrier. If this is the case, I should stick with
a smaller drive?
Do I also remember with the bios...

Hello ng,
I read about the Windows larger hard drive barrier effecting drives larger than 137 GB
and would like to know what limited support for such large drive does mean and how
to, in some way, enable full support for such large drives.
Sincerely,

Can You Partition External Hard Drive
Hi
Is it possible to partition an USB External HD to have both a FAT32

to store my other files.
Will Windows XP recognize both drives? If its of any help I use the
USB interface.

XP doesn't see Mobile Mouse 3000
Just yesterday I received my MSI Wind U100420US (this version does not have
Bluetooth) with Windows XP SP3...and today I went out and purchased a MS
Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000 for it. As soon as the receiver went into the USB
port, XP announced that it had found the new hardware. But the mouse won't
work (yes, I installed the battery)...the cursor won't move and clicks do not

DVD copy software for WinXP
I need to specify a DVD copying app for a non-tech customer. I use Nero and
have an extra copy, but that damn app wants to load a ton of schitt, steal
all the file associations and all I want is a simple copy tool. If I could
be there to uncheck all the boxes I might go that way.
Is there a small-footprint disk copier on the web somewhere? Free is nice,
and there's no need to copy prote...

1 GB memory module installed, Windows running awkward
hello ng,
I installed a 1 GB memory module. Now,Windows is a running awkward. Like two windows open by clicking

todays Spam, I think.
Could I update some program on the computer to let it realize the actual amount of memory. I would say
there the fault must be somewhere. Like the ...

Disk2 as a backup (compressed image of Disk1).
My issue is now I have re-installed XP Pro on Disk 1 and my computer will

Preventing PnP on a COM port
Hi,
I have some non-PnP equipment connected to a COM port and it seems booting
XP is messing with it when it is trying to see if there is anything
connected that it recognizes. Is there anyway to make XP recognize the COM
port but skip trying to see what is connected?
Thanks

MN-730 PCI Wireless Adapter
I was just getting a very old PC up and running with XP for one of the
younger kids in the family. It uses a MN-730 Wireless PCI adapter. It

If I do a shut-down/restart, the network adapter sees the network, but will
not connect when it restarts. If I physically shut down, and then do a
