Formatting difficulties
Hi, I have come across a compact flash which seems unable to boot XPe.
The SanDisk Extreme IV gives me "disk error" upon boot.
I have tried the following commands, as well as many variations..
these have worked for me with every other compact flash I have tested.
I am able to boot via USB using the USB 2.0 boot component. I have

XPe newbie needs some help
To all,
I downloaded the XPe 2007 SP2 and follow the tutorial of "Building and
Deploying a Run-Time Image" very carefully. I have a SATA first drive as
C: D: E: F: and a blank IDE second drive as G: for testing the image. In
step #4, when defining the target Device setting - should I put in C:
boot path 0 0 0 1 (in the Target Designer help) or G: boot path 0 0 1
1(in MSDN help). Seems...

Does Windows XP Embedded support all WinXP driver and software ?
Hi
Does Windows XP Embedded use the same driver and software as Windows XP ?
Can we install driver , commercial software ( like MS Office , Adobe
Photoshop, WinRAR tool .. etc. ) and our own Win32 program on it ?
Does Windows XP Embedded use Activesync and USB cable to install software ?

NET 2 and FBA (And lack of .NET XPe docs)
I tried adding .NET 2 to my FP2007 XPe image.
It added about 80 meg to the image...
BUT
My embedded disk is 478M
My image was now 340M
I had added 50M of swap space.
Towards the end of FBA I noticed that it was compiling .NET resources and
failing becuase of lack of disk space.
I will investigate this further.
eg Try a bigger disk and see how much it does use.
