Anchoring Windows
Anyone know how to change the default location where Windows appear on the
desktop? Example - Alt_Ctrl_Delete displays the "Windows Security" window in
the middle of your blank desktop. Is there a way to get it to default to the
upper left?...

Application Data folder
Hi,
I want to know if we can move the whole Application Data folder from the
Documents & Settings\%User Profile% to some network drive. The reason I want
to do this is to make my users' profiles light enough so that roaming
profiles among workstations is easy. Everyone of these users has a home
drive mapped to their profile and that's where I want to move the
Application Data folder!!!

Run program in WinXP home during boot
Hello,
I have a custom written program which displays a license agreement. I
would like to run this program during the WinXP boot process as early
as possible. It is not currently a service, but I could make it one if
need be. I have tried to put the exe in the
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run section, but the

Skype & Fax crash the machine
My machine crashes everytime I try to send a fax (using the built in Windows
Fax software) and also sometimes when I plug in the headphones and try to
use Skype. On sending the Error Report to Microsoft I was given an
explanation of why the machine crashed - some problem with a device driver
but was not told which device!
I had WinFax Pro installed which I believe caused all the proble...

Windows Start sound
What controls the length of time the Windows Start sound plays?
I am attempting to use .wav files that run about 1 min 30
secs. That is about the time it takes after log-in to when
Windows XP SP2 is ready for business. Any of these longer
wav files run for a variety of times, never the same,
usually stopping between 20 secs and 1 min+. I have booted
"vanilla" with almost every TSR shut ...
