Simple question for laptop users
Do all laptop users find that the hard drive access light flashes 30 to 40
times a minute at all times except for when it gets busy and flashes twice
that much or more?

How do I keep my desktop computer from going into Suspend Mode?
While logged into AOL, and it isn't being used for awhile, AOL logs me off

I have a Sony VAIO Desktop (Model VGC-RB34G), running Windows XP
Professional.
I've been told change my Power Options by going to Start, Control Panel, and
open Power Options. Then go to the System Standby drop down menu...

Is SP3 upgrade very important ?
Could someone please advise me if it's very important that I upgrade from
SP2 to SP3 as soon as possible ? I am on a telephone line but have set the
computer to "Automatic Upgrading", but since I connect to the net only 1
hour a week it could take a long time for the upgrade, but I could leave
the connection on all night.
Thanks, Peter

I have an odd question that I hope someone may be able to help me with. I
have Windows XP Media Edition and I currently run the Standard "My Pictures"

10,000 (or so) of the 25,000 pictures in the folder structure. I'll leave
it to Microsoft to have limitations on a screen saver. If anyone has any
ideas about that, gre...

Getting Rid of Norton
I recently uninstalled Norton Internet Security using the uninstall feature
in Ctrl Panel | Add/Remove Programs.
The program is gone, but left behind are a set of hundreds (thousands??) of
files in nested folders whose names begins with Symantec. There may be more
with other names.
There's something called the "Norton Removal Tool", which I've downloaded
but not run.
