Computer slowdown
Quite often after watching video streaming or Java sites and charts, my
computer slows down to a real crawl. I have to restart always to get back to
normalcy.
Anything I can do about it?
Thanks

There is something wrong with my Windows XP Prof with SP2. I can no longer
do many of the things that I used to be able to do. For example: I cannot
save the Outlook .pst files anymore - I cannot browse to my YouTube Videos
because I keep getting the error message: "You either have JavaScript turned
off or an old version of Flash Player" - and Windows no longer makes the
connection to my...

System Restore Points
Hi all,
If I understand System Restore Points at all, and I probably don't, I was
just wondering why it defaults 12% of the drive for Restore Points whether
it's a System drive or not. I can see it being used of course on the boot
drive, usually C, and another drive IFF you had some system settings being
stored there.
But, with say 5 drives, 3 of them for pure data, what sense does...

Profile question
This is actually a windows 2000 professional problem, but there doesn't seem
to be a better place for it. I have a user who has problems using her
computer, it crashes in outlook and word. I have looked on the pC and her
windows profile is 450MB. I want to delete it and start again but it won't
let me. If I navigate to it in explorer and hit delete it tells me there is a

Registry Repair, Clean Up and File Fix for Windows
Every Microsoft Windows operating system has a registry. Your system
registry holds a wealth of information about your computer, which is
why we constantly hear from users that after using their PC for a
short length of time, it no longer works the way it used to. This is
due in part to invalid entries that exist in your system registry,
that might exist because of software you are no longer ...

Disabling Windows Antivirus
I just purchased ZoneAlarm Security Suite and my confirmation email stated
this:
"If you choose to run the ZoneAlarm antivirus feature in your product,
please be sure to un-install any other antivirus product you may be running.
ZoneAlarm strongly advises against running two antivirus solutions at the
same time because significant computer performance issues, and even frequent

Why don`t videos play clear on all websites
Videos played normally on a cheaper computer, but I bought a more
expensive one and now (on Yahoo, for instance) the videos on that site
play like a TV set with the color and contrast turned up to their
maximum. The videos on that website looked that way yesterday, and I
thought "maybe their just having trouble and it would be repaired by
today". But the videos still aren`t clear. The computer...

Installing XP on large drives
I am going to buy a new PC and want to transfer my current licensed copy of
XP Pro to my new PC. It is an original version w/o SP2. My PC builder says
that I cannot install this version on a larger drove. My new PC will have a
250 mb SATA drive.
Is this the case or is there a workaround?
Secondly, if this IS the case, I will need to pay an additonal $170 for a
copy of XP Pro insta...

has to enter a password to decrypt it and view it(hopefully this should be

Unable to start Windows XP
My current situation is as follows:
My system starts up, displays the Windows logo. After which, without going
to the Windows XP login, the system restarts again.
I have tried one of the solution, to expand kernel32.dl_ and replace the
version in my PC but the same situation occurs.
Thank you very much for your help....
