It installs with no warnings and if I check the version running, it is 11. However, there are missing tabs (no rip tab, for example), skins don't work and I'm sure other things as well. This is a corporate laptop but I have authority to install programs. Could there be something due to that? Any help would be greatly a... 2 12/27/2008 6:43:36 PM Windows Media Player 11 on Vista (DELL Laptop) When playing audio (WMA or MP3) each track plays fine until 15 or 20 seconds from the end were it stutters for 3 to 4 seconds and then finishes the track normally. This has become an extreme irritant as you can imagine... I have tried 1 or 2 suggestions I have found on forums, one of which was to turn off all enhancements but nothing has had any effect... I open WMP by clicking "Play with Media Player" on the folder. These songs are NOT in a playlist or the Media Library. When I burn them to a CD with WMP, volume leveling is turned on. However, when I read the WMP help, I interpret it to say that the songs must be in the Media Library. Specifically, Track 4 "The World That He Sees" is mislabelled as Track 5 "Midnight Christmas Eve" and all subsquent tracks are shifted down by 1.
