My Windows Media Player does not start
Hi folks,
Here is the situation:
My Windows Media Player simply does not start! It does not provide any
message or anything. After clicking the icon, nothing happens.
A little bit of background: I have Windows Vista, so, I also couldn't find
any repair or re-install feature for my Windows Media Player.
What is the most effective way of fixing this? And, I also tried some of the

cd playback
when I play a cd with media player the sound is clipped. The cd plays but
with a clipping sound. Why?,and what can I do to correct the problem?...

can't hear audio from some urls on wmp11
Using Windows Media Player 11. Get error Code C00D11BA. Can play wma files
from some urls but when I try at www.tscny.org, and www.khouse.org, I can't
hear any sound. OS is Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3.
When I tried to go to www.tscny.org, i got the following error code on wmp:
Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with

Duplicates from WMP 11 & itunes
I'm trying to get my itunes to copy music from my windows media player with
vista. itunes isn't copying, it freezes and closes and wmp is coming up with
duplicates of the files that itunes does copy before crashing. I would like
to find an easier way to eliminate duplicates without having to find the
location of each and doing it one by one. Is there a program that can do this

WMP11 mp3's cracking noise
I have Vista 32bit home premium and windows media player 11.
Whenever i play a mp3 audio file i get what sounds like cracking static
buzzing noises. Everything else works fine like when watching a divx movie
or windows sounds and even playing the mp3 or video's with another media
player like VLC player works fine. Now i don't know if there is a fix for

video camera clips can't see them
I have a video camera that takes dvd's and when I try to play them on media
player 11, it only shows the first six clips, and there are like 14 or 15 of
them, but I can only get to the first six. The first six play just fine, but
I just can't figure out how to get to the rest of them. I've tried pushing
every button I can find, but no luck....

WMP does not share
hi,
Windows Media Player 11 does not share media. I have videos and recorded
shows on my computer that I would like to watch on my television. I loaded
all the software that came with the television (hp mediasmart tv). Everything
seems to work, but when I try to watch content that's on my computer, I get
the following message "No shared media is detected".

WMP poping and spitting, generally bad sound
Have WMP 11 installed, sound is terrible, have checked all these posts, it

Close Program down with out warning or error message?
When using WMM, after about 2mins of using it, an error message comes up
asking whether i want to send the error report or not, (i have tried both)
and then it stops responding and i have to close it down.
Then when i open a video i was working on, when i either add a new clip to
it or press play to see what its like so far, it close the program down
without warning and without saving it!...

Is wmp 11 Multi region?
Hey,
I know you can only change the region setting on my old wmp a certain amount
of times, before it is stuck in place. I dont want this to happen, but when I
put a region 4 DVD into my laptop it automatically started playing in wmp11.
Does this mean its multi-region or just that it switched from region 2 to
region 4 automatically? and will continue to lock in place after a while?

Changing location
I recently used partition magic to create a D drive. I copied all my data
files, including music files, to D. Now Media player cannot find most files
in the directory. How can I configure it to look only in my music directory
for music....

MP3 Player Sync issue with "master- slave" relationship
Here is what I would like to accomplish. When connecting my Sansa View mp3
player and sync with WMP, the player becomes a "slave" to WMP during the sync
process. and where files differ between the two, WMP writes to the mp3

windows media player 11 does not download aquisation rights
My windows media player does not download media usage aquisation rights
for subscription online movies. It gives the error message that a run time
error has
occured . Line No.12. netobj not defined. No error code is displayed.
Microsoft software could not debug it. It shows JScript runtime error

Media Sharing Playback Skip
I'm sharing media between two laptops, both runing Windows Vista Home
Premium. I can get the Sharing and everything to work just fine, but every 2
min playback on the laptop being shared to will stop for about 3 sec before
resuming. My question is what could be causing and what can i do to try to

Can't import all tracks
I tried to import an album (all mp3) into mp11, and all but 2 would import.
If I double click on one of those 2 songs, it will open up media player and
play them with all of the correct information attatched to them, even the
album art will appear, but they still won't appear in the album and they are
not located in the library at all. Not even under "unknown"....

Double CD Set
I'm using WP 11 on XP Pro SP3.
I have a 2 CD set and am trying to get the induvidual CDs to be listed in
the library separately.
I have done this in the past but can't quite get WMP do do this again. It
wants to merge them together under the album title.
If there are two (or more) CDs for the same "album", how can they be added
to the library as individual CDs?

WMP 11 no longer works and continues to get worse
The more updates I get, the worse WMP 11 works. I can no longer hear many
files I used to be able to. Now today I'm trying to watch a video with audio
(.wma) and no audio is coming through (on my version...i run the same file on
XP with WMP 11 and it works).
There is no control for me as a user to try to reload, repair, etc. This
sucks, I'm ready to move to Apple....
