Ripping new CDs - media player thinks it's already been ripped
I'm backing up a set up audio CDs. They are meditation CDs and are very
similar so Media Player thinks they are the same, and incorrectly identifies
the CD as one I have already ripped. I edited the title information, but
even with the new title, Media Player says "ripped to library" and won't let
me rip the new CD.
Is there a way to disable the mechanism that automatically detect d...

Can't play any DRM tracks, get "WMP is not installed correctly"
I recently (4 days ago) updated to WMP11 for XP Pro x64 edition (build 3790,
SP2 plus all hotfixes). The installation completed without errors of any
kind, and when I rebooted, I can play all tracks except any DRM-protected
tracks.
I get the error "Windows Media Player is not installed properly. Reinstall
the player".
Needless to say, reinstalling the players does NOT fix the problem.

Can Media Player edit m3u files? What can? Done with MusicMatch.
I'm finally giving up on MusicMatch after many years. But it seems all the
music players I've tried pay more attention to selling music than to
creating a great player. So, I'm looking for a player that is, ...well... a
great music player. To me, that means having control of my playlists so
they're easy to create, select, play, edit, and save on a shared volume.
MusicMatch was a bad ...

Youtube). I guess the failure is due to the source file is an audio fi...

wmp burn time exceeds time on cd being ripped
My windows media player now takes about 90 minutes to rip about 70 minutes of
music, when it would take about 5-7 minutes on average before. It looks like
all the settings are ok. I've defraged hard disk, reorganized, system
resources are in good shape. Seems like a glitch somewhere. If you can
help, would certainly save me lots of time! Thanks......
