Windows Media param values question
Ok so I work for the uwbadgers.com website and I am trying to code an object
to have it show the time played and total time of the video
is there a param name that does this?

Media Player 11 - Sound Only but no video show
I realize I posted this into another forum until I found out there was one
devoted to Media Player ....sorry! The problem I have is that Windows Media
Player 11 will play the sound of the .wmv file, but the video screen is blank
and no video shows as it plays. I've tried to search around for answers, but
I'm stuck. It was working fine and I have re downloaded Media Player 11...but
still ...

Choppy audio and video when playing a disc in CD/DVD-ROM
I have tried the troubleshooting suggestions for this problem that my
computer offers, but I'm getting nowhere. I have Windows XP Media Center
Edition version 2002 service pack 3, with WMP version 11.0.5721. I can play
audio and video files that are stored in my library, but when I try playing
an audio CD or DVD, its choppy. This makes me think there's something wrong
with the actual CD/...

No audio when playing DVDs on WMP!!!
Hey I got WMP 10.00.00.4058, AC3Filter 0.70b, and there is still no audio.
When I play DVDs on Intervideo WinDVD 4 they play fine, audio and video. Do I
need a new AC3Filter??? and which one theres all these weirdo files....

Video Duration
Some of my AVI's show ZERO (0) duration in the library view. However, they
play perfectly. If I double-click on the SAME AVI outside of WMP11 the movie
plays and the correct duration is shown in the play list. If I right click
the properties whilst the movie is showing in the playlist (With the correct
duration), the video is shown as 640 x 480 when it is 720 x 480. Using the

RADIO LIVE FREEZE
Hello,
I am a new user of Windows vista familly premium.
When I try to connect to a live radio station, the Media Player open, but
frezze. I let it go for 10 minutes and nothing happend. I have to close the
application with task manager......

WMP lousy Display of MPEG Vid On Remote Monitor
I have rendered an HD Mpeg video file that plays beautiful on my Toshiba
Satellite laptop, but displays poorly through my HDMI hookup to a 37" LCD HD
monitor. The images do not move smoothly across the screen, but break up in
large chunks, then reassemble once the movement stops. I'm told it could be
my hardware, and I'm told it could be the codec. I run Vista Ultimate. The

WMP 11 cannot connect to media guide, online store, find album inf
My WMP won't connect to online stores or the media guide, and won't find
album info. It just says "This program cannot display the webpage." I've
looked all over for a solution. Things I've tried so far:
1) Tools -> Options -> Player ->Connect to internet
2) Tools -> Options -> Privacy ->Display media information....
3) Tools -> Options -> Privacy ->Update music...

Windows Media Player 11 Toolbar
I was curious if there is a way to make the mini video player screen
from the toolbar bigger so that I am able to watch better when working
on other things? I don't wish to mess with my resolution which is
currently set at, 1680 by 1050.

WM11 Keeps on Changing My Tags/Metadata
I sync my music collection to my Archos 5.
Windows Media Player 11 seems to change my Media Metadata/Tags so that Album
Titles, Track Numbers, Artist, genre etc are all jumbled.
Eg: Avril Lavigne Album renamed, to an Anastacia Album Name, but with track
titles and numbers from ABBA???????
I just don't understand it.
In consequence my Archos 5 has the wrong track info uploaded/synced an...

WMP11 is reversing all my updates!
I have a large number of CDs ripped to an external hard disc, which I want to
make available to WMP11. It sees them fine, but I find it irritating that a
lot of the media information is incorrect or inconsistent (eg instead of
listing a track as Track "6" title "In My Life", ir might list it as Track
"0", title "06 In My Life"). I can change these successfully, either
manually or by us...

WMP Takes 100% CPU
Hello,
When I open WMP11, it works for about two to three minutes, but then the
"wmplayer.exe" process takes up 100% of my CPU, and it STAYS at 100% until I
close WMP. I suspect that this is a problem with the Monitor Folders
feature. So, can I turn Monitor Folders off?

problems with WMP
1. My library will not up date.
I have made sure that the correct folder is selected in the 'add to
library' menu
but after i input the file and hit OK if i return to that screen the
file location is
gone.
2. I can't deleat anything from my library.
3. After closing WMP i have to restart my computer in order to open it again....

Pictures and Video stored ?
In the past 6 years I have only used WMP to play music and see videos. Last
week I decided to burn a CD. Much to my surprise I found all my photos
(nearly 2000) and a dozen od my own Videos were stored in WMP. Some of the
photos I only put in my Computer in the past couple of weeks.
I have deleted them all as I see no purpose for them being there. I have
checked with some friend...

WM11 Playlist
Had to reformat several times. After reinstalling WM11 my previous playlists
are shown in WM11 but it cannot find the music files. I have to do my
playlist all over again. Is there a way to link the old playlists to the
music files which remain the same as pre reformat?

windowless mode in wmp plugin = poor performance
Hello all
I need to embed WMP plugin in a web page for IE. I need to add graphics
overlays over the videos. I do this using the windowless param and an html
div but the performance is very poor with this.
My 2.5Ghz dual core isnt enough to play a single 720p wmv with some html
overlayed, i feel stucked.
Any suggestion ??

Album Art Completely Vanished? HELP!
my media player was working fine but now when i open it, it always goes to
Music>Library>Songs, but now for some reason all my albums have disappeared.
its not just the covers, the blank logo's are gone too, all the songs are
slid to the left where the pictures used to be, what happened? and how can i
get them back up? please help...

Can't install WM 11
Please I need help with this. I have tried to install WM 11 eight times
and it always fails. I have no idea what to do, I've tried everything I
can think of.
I uninstalled all other DVD-type applications, and reset some key .dll
files all to no avail. Also, I have a valid version of windows XP
running SP3.
Can anyone help me with this finicky install?

Windows Media Player Autostart
Hello,
I have a problem and I can't find the solution to it. Since a couple of
days when I restart my computer it automatically starts Windows Media
Player (11.0.6001.7000). I tried several options to fix it but it
doesn't work.
- MSConfig did not help me, it is not in there either.
- Services does not find Windows Media Player either.
- There is no shortcut in the start-up folder either....

WMP 11 does not select the correct media info from a ripped CD
I have been trying to get WMP 11 on WinXP Home SP3 to update the media
information correctly on a CD I have ripped.
The default information is for the standard audio CD (which has 14 tracks).
The CD version I have for this album is a bonus CD which has 17 tracks. I
right click and ask for it to update the media information, which provides a
