Media Sharing
Hi,
I'm having difficulty in getting my media player to see my 360 or my PS3.
When I go thru media player and click media sharing. It can't seem to find
my Xbox,360 or PS3. Yes they are connected my a hard wire and a open wireless
network. The share my media box is checked but the devices aren't showing.
Any advice you can give in fixing the problem would be great....

Hello please someone.
I have had this PC almost a year now and I'm still unable to listen to any
music I have ripped from my music CD's.
I get an error code come up - C00D11B1.
Please please please if anyone can explain how I can be rid of this problem

Media Player Toolbar "seek" option
I lost my hard drive and have had it replaced. When I updated Windows Media
Player and started using it again, I noticed something missing. I use the
Windows Media Toolbar which displays when I minimize media player. I can
change tracks, pause, mute, and adjust the volume. I used to be able to
"seek" and move a little forward or a little backward in the current track

"Recently Added" filter in Library
Songs stay in the recently added category in the library so long as to make
it almost useless. Does anyone know if the parameter for how long a song is
categorized as "Recently added" is user configurable and, if so, how to
change it?

.mpg files play at double speed
For the past month I have been having a problem with my .mpg files playing at
double their normal speed. All other files are working fine. I am running XP
pro SP 3 and WMP 11. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated...

Corrupted beyond belief, WMP-11
What in the world does this message mean when I try to open a musci file with
WMP11- which always worked until I installed Nero Scout and bought a new dvd
player. It even tells me my sound card is no good; when an earlier version of
MPlayer as well as all other players play my sound card fantastically! WMP-11

Media Player 11 Stops Working only on Exit
Hi Team!!
I see there seems to be lots of issues with Media Player 11 on Vista
where is gives the "Stopped Working" Error.
I have been having all sorts of problems with what I think are similar
issues, and I have done a lot of the things suggested on this site.
Media Player has now been resurrected and will play all my files once
again, but it gives the "Stopped working" error when I close ...

Cannot play licensed video in Windows Media Player 9

Windows Media Player getting "stuck"
I'm using Windows Media Player version 11.0.6001.7000.Computer is Windows
Vista Home Edition, Service Pack 1.
When playing any audio, mp3 or or a windows media file, they all seem to get
"stuck" at the exact same place. About a minute before the song is over,
they get stuck, it stops and it seems to stutter for a few seconds, then the

Problem with Windows Media Player Control in Internet Explorer
I have Windows XP Home Edition and Windows Media Player 11 installed on my
computer and whenever I try and play an Internet radio station on some
websites, it loads Windows Media Player Control version 6.0 and the station

When i try to play a DVD it plays for a couple of minutes before an error
pops up saying:
Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because the disc prohibits playback
in your region of the world. You must obtain a disc that is intended for your
geographic region.

"cannot play the file"
Ihave several wmv files that I am trying to watch using WMP 11 on a Vista
machine. Some will play and some won't. They were all encoded with the same
codec (windows media video 9). All of these files play fine on both of my XP
computers. A lot of wmv files on line will also not play. I've installed new
codecs with no success. Any ideas?...

video player sound is at normal speed, video is slower.
every time i try and watch a movie, the sound is normal speed, but its like
the video is running much slower, so the words and the mouths dont match.
any ideas on how to fix this?...

WMP11 is said to be "corrupted"
It worked fine for a long time, I bought a new DVD player, it still worked,
then the Nero program seemed to have messed it up permanently. No other
player works now because WMP11 has "taken over" so to speak and wont let
anything work.

Cannot uninstall / reinstall / repair WMP 11
I was lucky enough to get my first virus in 9 years and after I got
everything cleaned and put back together, the only victim is WMP 11, which
crashes as soon as I open it.
I downloaded the version on MS's website hoping to reinstall or repair, but

media player 11 Vista does not open automatically although sound p
My Media Player 11 running on Vista Business was working fine until these
last 2 days or so, tried looking on the net for answers but no joy.
I have some avi files on my comp that i like to play, when i double click
them the soundtrack plays but no video, until i open media player manually,
at which point the video is already playing in sequence with the soundtrack??

WMP not acknowledging my music
Most of my music is fine and unaffected but ..

Sansa Clip doesn't show in WMP11 but shows in Vista (Portable Devi
My Sansa Express mp3 player shows up in WMP11 on my laptop but my Sansa Clip
mp3 player doesn't show in WMP11. I can drag my mp3's into it in Vista

Add Files to the Library
Greetings,
How do I add .wma and .mid songs to the library? I have "Monitor Folders"
pointing to an empty folder, otherwise it tries to automatically add .mp3
files, and I don't want it do do that. So how do I add my .mid and .wma
songs?

Help me watch my video on windows media player!

video - audio codecs not showing up
I have not been able to play dvds in WMP for quite some time now. I
currently have WMP11 and have no shortage of video codecs - I own Pinnacle
Studio 10 and also bought the Cyberlink Powerdvd plug-in for WMP. I can't
get any of the codecs to show up in the WMP plug-in options tab.
When I play a dvd and check to see what codecs are being used, it is blank.
