Burning CD's with Media Player
Despite having my computer for 2 years I have not attempted to burn CD's
until this week. When using Media Player I am unable to burn to CD, getting
the message: Windows Media Player encountered a problem while burning the
file to the disc. For additional assistance, click Web Help
I have lowered the burn speed as advised, and have been successful burning
the same music onto the same CD ...

Windows Media Player 11 problem
I hope that someone may be able to help with a Windows Media Player problem.
I encountered error message C00D10D2 while using Windows Media Player.
Basically, I cannot rip any CDs to my hard drive from my laptop. I have a
similar programme on a desctop PC with all settings the same and this woks

I'm trying to roll back MP11 and install MP10 because I'm trying to convert
the audio files from my Gigabeat but everytime I try to install it, I'm
getting a message saying I dont have the correct software. Is this because I

WMP 11 fails to scaleup to fullscreen
WMP 11 fails to scaleup to fullscreen
Dell Laptop
WindowsXP sp3.
Whenever I re-encode a video from WMV to MPEG2 at 720x480 there is no
thumbnail icon of the video and it refuses to play fullscreen under WMP 11.
WMP 11 makes an attempt to go fullscreen but goes back to the default size.

Re-Ripping a CD
I ripped a claassical music CD - no problems. WMP 11 created a pair of
nested folders containng the performer and track lists in My Docs |My Music.
Then for unrelated reasons, I deleted the two folders. When I went to
"re-rip" the same CD, the WMP display now shows the tracks as "ripped to
library" and won't proceed with the new rip.

wmp unresponsive
wmp 11 on vista ultimate will not play dvd (retail) movies. It makes an
atempt to start then my screen just goes black and I lose all computer
functions. Basically locked out and I have to reboot.. Any one have any

WMP on a Sony Vaio
This laptop was bought in the Carribean by my son. We now use it in Spain.
For some reason we cannot play some DVD's They appear as a black screen with
sound. The media player tells me that it is trying to aquire codecs, but
fails every time. I have limited internet connection in Spain, only 56k dial
up. Would this affect it?...

Confusion on location of ripped mp3 files
I've ripped a set of a few dozen CD's directing the files to My Docs | My
Music.
Per the WinXP Home, SP-3, WMP 11.0 music library, all tracks were
successfully ripped, and all can be played from the WMP library
But in the My Docs |My Music section, several of the albums have only one or
two tracks in cases where the CD and the library show the albums with many.
Any explanation?

I cannot play DVD's on my Windows Media Player I get a message "Windows Media
ccannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed. Do I
have to purchase this. I did not have this problem before I had my computer
repaired. The hard drive was replaced I used to have XP Home edition now I

DVD Drive doesn't recognize some DVDs
When I insert the disc, the drive starts reading normally... But keeps on
reading and reading. I've waited quite a while, but the drive hasn't
recognized the disc. With one disc the drive made a lot of noise, and when I
ejected it in fear, the disc was still revolving with quite high velocity.

Play Count Syncing
When i sync my Samsung YP-P2 to WMP11, it doesnt sync the play count from the
P2 to the computer like it is suppose to. I've been syncing it for about half
a year and its been working, but now it doesnt work anymore. I've made sure

Can I use sync to erase files from MP3 player?
When I sync playlists to my MP3 player, is it possible to have it remove
songs not on those playlists from my MP3 player? I'd want to keep them in my
library, just remove them from the MP3 player. My library is larger, so if I
just keep syncing new playlists I'll run out of room. Thanks for your help!...

Black screen
I am trying to watch a video from the website
willowcreek.com/children/music_jumpforjoy.asp and when I click on "motions,"
all I get is a black screen. I have version WMP version 11 and Windows XP
Home Edition. I have tried many things such as lowering the video
acceleration, disabling UDP, clearing the overlays, turning off the
VMR....nothing works. Does anyone have any ideas?...

Computer defaults to Real Player
When I place a music CD in the CD drive, a window pops up offering me the
choices of doing some steps (making a compilation CD, copying the CD or
ripping using Real Player. The popup is apparently produced by a Sonic
program.
Is there an easy way to disable this, or at least to make the default ripper
WMP?

Creating a sync list in Windows Media Center (Vista)
Is it not possible to manually create a sync list in the new WMC for Vista
the way I used to with WMP for XP? It seems like the only options I have are
the automatic options (i.e. Music added in the last month, etc).
I really can't stand this new version and I liked the old WMP a lot. Can I
install the old WMP on Vista?

Stop WMP from replacing album art
Is there absolutely no way to stop WMP from downloading and replacing album
art? The problem is it's often fuzzy/out of focus, incorrect, undersized,
just plain black and it undoes hours/days of work I've done setting my own
album art. I also don't want extraneous files like AlbumArt_Large.jpg,
AlbumArt_Small.jpg, Cover.jpg or Front.jpg. I use Folder.jpg ONLY.

Preparing CD files for Media Center Use
I have an extensive collection of classical CD's, which I wish to transfer
to a Windows XP, and later to a Windows Vista Media Center computer.
In the end, I plan to use a media extender and display and select racks

No it does not appear as an option in Add/Remove programs or windows
components.

Why doesn't WMP 11 add album art?
Why doesn't WMP 11 add album art? (If it doesn't want to)
Often it will update track info without the artwork (so you have to find it
somewhere else)
Also notice it doesn't apply album art to tracks (so i have to apply this
manually & tediously)
So when you copy them to another device there's no artwork
Is this rocket science?????
