How to Publish my windows media player output?
I used to be able to publish my Windows XP Pro PC's windows media output to
my windows server 2003 and then load the stream from a web page. I saved my
session configuration to a file.
I changed to Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bits. Installed Windows Media Encoder
64 bits. My Sound Blaster sound card is correctly recognized by Vista.
I Tried to use the saved session configuration and I re...

no video except for High Definition quality capture
I'm trying to get the media encoder to stream a feed from a USB webcam (MS
Lifecam VX-5000).
As of right now I'm just trying to get the software to capture the video.
Whether I'm streaming the video or recourding it as a file onto the hard
drive, I am able to capture sound just fine. No issues there.
But for video, I can only capture video when I choose to "High Definition

preserving tags when converting from wav to wma
I have ripped hundreds of CDs to my hard drive, using WMP, saving the files
in .wav format. I now want to convert them (outputting to a new folder) to
..wma files (the ultimate destination being my Zune). I've read that you can
use batcher.exe in Encoder SDK to transfer files en masse. Does batcher.exe
preserve the tag info (artist, album, genre etc.) that WMP encoded when I
first rip...

WME cutting off 1st 15-20 min of converted WMV file
I've been converting AVI files to WMV and lately they have not been synching.
The Audio starts fine but the movie usually starts at the 20 or 30 min mark
as if the encoding process clipped the beginning.
I have been using Bit Rate VBR for Video and CBR for Audio (for some reason
Bit Rate VBR has been causing error in the audio part).
I have had movies start off just fine at the beginn...

Capture audio from the internet
I have used Windows Media Encoder to create audio files of radio broadcasts
streaming to my laptop over the internet. Upon playback I discovered that
ambient noises from my house were also recorded into the file, such as dogs
barking, dishes being put away in the kitchen, conversations between myself
and family members, dogs feet clicking across the hardwood floors, etc. I
tried to fix...

Attempt to convert avi file to wmv with Windows Encoder 9 are fail
I am following the instructions in help to convert an avi file on my hard
disk to the wmv format. However what I end up with, after 2 or three hours of
'convverting', is an wmv file which is about 50 or 60 k in length (takes
three seconds to play). The length of the file should be about 600 mb or
more. What am I doing wrong?...

capturing WMP on screen in WME
Probably everyone does this but I can't get it to work. Local TV station
provides link to news story that's showing in WMV. I can't capture it with
camtasia studio so I'm trying with WME's capture screen module. Remember the
clip is playing on WMP and I've zoned the region I want on the WMP player's
screen. I get audio on each capture but no video. I'm wondering if like

Hey all.. so I'm at a venue webcasting a show, and the sound board says he's
sending as much signal as he can but the levels seem quiet even though the
PC's sound and encoder levels are almost all of the way up as well..
Anyone have thoughts on what I can tweak to get better range response? Thx

have not found a way to do live surround streaming. I am guessing my

Slight synch issue between audio/video?
Hi all.. I've noticed in my own streams as well as that of others using ME
that there is a synch issue (only about 3 frames worth) between the audio

and I've tried with balanced and unbalanced audio, and there doesn't seem to
be any difference. There is a visible disagreement between when the

Rebroadcast previously broadcasted files
Hi,
Why is it that when we broadcast a live show, I cant just add that video to
my sources panel? When I do, I get this big rex "X" instead of the video.
However, if I take that same video, open it in Windows Movie Maker, then save
the file, it works perfectly?
I don't mind really, because I usually need to add titles, and do a little
cleanup editing anyway, but it sure would be ni...

WME not working with any BDA tv card drivers?
Hello, is there any way to make WME to work with card that uses BDA drivers
(practically any new TV card), in this case MSI TV@nywhere plus (SAA 7135e),
that comes with drivers that states it is a WDM driver, but when looking
closely inside driver files it shows that it is actually an BDA driver.
The problem is that in WME there is audio, and black video, while in any

WME stalls while encoding WMV
Hello all.
I have a problem with WME. I use it to re-encode WMV files so that
they work on my media streaming device.
Usually, it works just fine, but two files give me problems.
What happens is when a static image, like a still graphic appears in
the video for more than a second or two, WME stalls. The CPU usage
goes to 5% and the 'time remaining' starts to go UP!

Hi, I am designing an Video Edit tool using Windows Media Encoder. I'm using

Instead the output file is starting -(5 to 6 sec) before the mark in position
i mentioned. What can be the solution for this ?
Thanks and Regards,
