Does anyone know how a media player presentation is created.
I would like to show someone how a program works so I need video of my
desktop while working and I need to narrate this myself.......Cant be that
hard I just don't know how to do it?????

WMP 11 For Win Home Server?
I have an Onkyo TX905 which is a Microsoft listed "top Digital Media Receiver
(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/devices/top_dmrs.mspx). I also
have Win XP Pro, a Vista 32, & Vista 64 box, and now I have Win Home Server
(WHS). After upgrading and/or purchasing computers to/with WMP 11, my Onkyo
can see & play music on any of the workstations with the exception of music

How can I create a dynamic asx file that accepts a parameter which determines
which publishing point to use? We'll be having an event with 20 streamed
events that will be archived and viewable on demand.

parameters incorrect
i downloaded songs and put them on a computer with no internet into windows
media player and when they played it said parameters are incorrect. but the
songs worked on the computer with the internet. the songs are in mp3 format.
the other songs that i carried over work perfectly. please help

converting video to karaoke video
Hello! Friends:
Could anyone recommend some FREE software to convert ordinary videos to
Karaoke videos? It would be good if this software could also retain the
lyrics in the original video. What would be the file extension of these
converted videos?

WMP 11 - Question regarding f/f controls
This is a completely random question, just one that I've been curious about:
Why is it that some videos not allow you to fast forward? I'm assuming that
it's only a result of the person/site who composes that video.

WMP 11 doesn't increment/update "Play Count" and "Date Last Played
WMP 11 (v 11.0.5721.5230) does not increment/update "Play Count" nor "Date
Last Played" after I play music track on a Windows Mobile 6.1 device (ROM
version 3.37.502.2 WWE) using Windows Media Player 10 Mobile for Pocket PC (v
10.3 Build 19214).
Why's that? It incremented/updated in the past, at least some of the time.
But not at all now!

Unusual network traffic caused by Windows Media Playing sharing...
Hi..
Have just reinstalled Vista Ultimate x32 and all is running well except for
some unusual traffic requests which only seem to have when the 'Windows Media
Player Network Sharing Service' is running. When the service is enabled, the
Host Process for Windows Services (svchost.exe) attempts to connect to the

Read Only Setting
When I try to install the new version of Defaggler via Hippo.com the update
fails. The error indicates that it can not write to the
c:/programs/defraggler file. The file indicates read only so I uncheck the
box to allow the new file to be written but it fails again and when I go the
file I see the read only bax is checked again. What it preventing me from
allowing this file a read/write ...

WMP 11 external monitor problem
My Dell Lattitude 600 is attached to a Dell port replicator for the Lattitude
D-family laptops and so is my Dell 2208 monitor. Everything has been working
well EXCEPT when I try to play some videos (not all) using Windows Media
Player. Sometimes, the video jumps to full screen on the 2208 and the

WMDRM content that is not WMA/WMV
I am trying to use the ASF reader to playback WMDRM content with AC3 audio.
The error returned is "The requested audio codec is not installed on this
system 0xC00D0BC2" . I have an AC3 decoder, but I guess that it can not
handle the DRM content. Is it possible to play such content using the
WMFSDK components?...

Playing video over windows share does not auto play
Hi, Im having a problem with windows media player 11 where the a video double
clicked on a network share in windows explorer will open up media player, but
not start the video. I have to manually start it.
If I copy it down to the desktop and double click it, it will automatically
start the video. This only happens on one computer on our network.
What could cause this? Is there some ...

Problem with Playing News videos on Yahoo and ABC news Laptop...
I have a Toshiba laptop and everytime I try to play something on my computer
like a news video on line from Yahoo etc., it plays for a short while and
then stops....and then starts to play again for a very short while and then
stops again....I Have Vista and 2000 Memory and 160gigs of hard drive space

I like to add cover art using the Pictures tab in Advanced Tag Editor (ATE).
Sometimes, after I've already the art at least once, the art disappears when

can't copy and paste
as soon as i run MP 11 I cannot copy/paste anything from an internet explorer

Media player crashing and directing to http://www.play-error.com/
I am running windows XP Pro with SP2 and Windows Media PLayer 11. When i try
