Where did they go?
I have media files on 3 HD's. After defragging all the hd's I "lost" most of
the files on the player. Before approx. 15000 files now 2600. The info is
on all the hd's but the library will not pick them up when "adding to the
library."...

ZooTycoon 2 on a Mac
I have Mac OS 9 and Microsoft for Mac. I am trying to load Zoo Tycoon 2 for

Media Player Toolbar "seek" option
I lost my hard drive and have had it replaced. When I updated Windows Media
Player and started using it again, I noticed something missing. I use the
Windows Media Toolbar which displays when I minimize media player. I can
change tracks, pause, mute, and adjust the volume. I used to be able to
"seek" and move a little forward or a little backward in the current track
from that toolbar. I...

Windows Media Player crashes
Hi,
We are currently developing an ASF streaming server that streams to WMP 11.
After establishing the session , WMP11 buffers data. When the buffering
reaches 100% WMP crashes and sends a debug error report.
What could be the possible reason for the crash?
Has it got to be an error in the RTP payload data?
Or is there some error while establishing the session?

Vista Media Center recorded TV shows 30 mins = 1.6GB
Hi guys,
I just setup my Media Center with the TV Tuner card, and its working
fine. However, recorded shows (30 minutes, scrubs) are taking 1.6GB of
space on my hard-drive. Is there any way to make Media Center record
using less space? My goal is less waste of space.
I have my settings on RECORD to "FAIR" (lowest). I don't know if its
related to my TV tuner or not, but it only records/...

Optimizing Media Center
I read somewhere that you could improve the perfromance of Media Center by
placing your music, pictures, videos etc. on a second separate internal drive
(Drive E:) . I've done that and can point to it fine on my Media Center PC
but my XBOX 360 extender can't seem to point to it from the Library Setup.
Does anyone have any experience doing this and can offer any advice (like

Media Sharing with an Xbox 360
I am trying to set up media sharing from my dell xps m1530 running windows
vista with windows media player 11 with my xbox 360. In following the
directions provided in the help files you open media player, click the
library drop down menu, then click media sharing. to start media sharing you
check the check box next to "share my media". at this point i click ok, and
then nothing happens...

Will automovie publish entire clip - no auto-editing?
I'm using Movie Maker (v6.0 sp1) that came with Windows Vista Home Premium.
In trying to publish some .wmv clips to my hard drive for burning with DVD
Maker, Automovie (the only way to prepare one of these clips for burning?)
edits much of the clip out. I guess it's supposed to do that. However, I
simply want to take a.wmv clip and burn the whole thing to a DVD, not 20% of

How would I use an attached microphone as a monitor?
I have a computer hooked to a UPS, and stored in a cabinet. When I lose
power to the UPS (APS RS1500), it gives a series of 4 beeps. Since it is in
a cabinet, no one can hear the beeps. I have placed a small microphone in
the UPS, and have it plugged into the Microphone port of my computer.
Using Sound Recorder, I can now amplify the 4 beeps so that my operators can

Xbox 360 connection
For some time I've been having a problem connecting my xbox360 to wm11. I
have sharing enabled in windows media, but for one reason or another, the
xbox itself is saying "no pc listed" while media center still works. Any help

Windows Media 11 not playing DVDs
I have Windows Vista Home Premium with SP1 and am running Windows Media
Player 11.0.6001.7000. I have several DVDs that run fine on it including the
Band of Brothers miniseries and other movies.
I just purchased several new DVD movies (300, WALL-E, Star Wars Clone Wars).

Dolby AC3 (2000)
I am trying to play a movie using Windows Media player and I can't seem to do
it.
When I load the video in WMP it says "acquiring codec", then "codec
acquired" then when it tries to play there is a little white x inside a red
circle with the title of the movie. When I click on that and can see error

WMP11 Radio Tuner Error Message C00D0FEA
Hi
Can somebody help with the above error?
I am using Windows XP Professional SP 3 with IE7. Each time I try to access
BBC 1 via the Radio Tuner I get the above message. Though some, not all, BBC
radio stations I can access via the tuner and they work ok. So this adds to
my confusion.

Pioneer LCD Makes Windows Vista Crash
I have a Sony vaio media center ((VGX-XL302 CEK) with blue ray drive. I had
it connected to a small 20' LCD TV via HDMI which was fine.
However, I recently bought a new Pioneer KRL-46v LCD HD tv and when I
connect this via HDMI to view windows (and hopefully HD movies) it crashes

WMP 11 regarding network connections
I realize this question has been asked a thousand times but I've searched

WMP - Video visible yesterday, not today
I was able to watch this video I had on my hard drive yesterday (an avi file)
using WMP. Today, when I play it I can hear the audio, but see no picture.
When I stream video online on sites that use WMP as their player, again I
only get audio.
When I pull up a window in Windows Explorer, part of the window is visible
where the video should be. The windows look skinnier as well in Windows...

HD playback
On gametrailers.com I have a strange problem. When I view HD content I
cannot see the control bar (play/pause button etc) until I make WMP go
fullscreen. I do not have this problem with SD videos. When the video is
not fullscreen, the image is zoomed in as if it is already fullscreen, so I
cannot see 3/4 of the video (control bar, etc.) I am using firefox as my

Copying a frame
I published a project to my computer and would like to copy one of the frames
to another project I am working on. Unfortunately I lost the original photo
that I want to copy and the video frame is all I have. Can someone help me

Media Player does not load correctly
Using Vista Ulitmate 64
When ever i click the icon for WMP there is a flash of the border then it
dissipears not a clue why this happens.
I'm using WMP11 and i've tryed to reinstall but since i have the most
up-to-date version.
This is a real pain and i woish i could give a better explination but all i
see is what i can say....
