Media Player and acc music files on Motorola Q
I have a Motorola Q PDA/Mobile Phone with Windows Media Player which, of
course, does not support acc music files. My computer's OS is Vista Home
Premium so I use Windows Mobile Device Center to unload and download to the
Motorola Q.
Questions: Are there Vista compatible computer-based players that can play
acc files or is there a way of convert DRM-free itunes plus (acc files) so

Link to file markers / bookmarks
Hi there,
does anybody know how to link to a specific point in a wmv file. Ive set up
the bookmarks, but now i want to start the files at the markers from a
webpage.
What would the URL be?
the markers are just numbered 2 to 13.

Green Screen/ Full Screen Issue
OK, I've figured something out relating to my original problem of not being
able to see videos and my other problem of not being able to view them in
full-screen. Well, if I turn "Video Acceleration" down in the options menu, I
can see the video but full screen does not work. If I turn it up, I cannot
see the video and full screen does work. I'm not sure why this happens, and I

When i try to convert an MP3 file to an WMA file I get an error message that
says "Windows Audio Converter could not write all metadata from the source

Album Art does't show
I don't understand why even after "update album information" and even
manually finding da album and slecting it with album art from
metaservices.windowsmedia.com it still won't come up. it updates everything
else lik the name and artist album..etc. but no album art. got AV fixer thing
but that is useless unless there is sum art there already!

Can't play CNN Videos.
I have tried to play videos from CNN.com, which unfortunately only requires
windows media player. It might because RealPlayer is set as default player.
I searched media player help for help on setting media player as default
player. It only talked about default files.

Lyra Wireless device and Wireless Home Network
im preparing to set up a wireless home network. I will be networking a new
computer running Vista premium located upstairs and a computer running XP
home downstairs. I have a Lyra wireless device which allows me to play mp3's

How do I DISABLE SYNCing to my USB flash drive in WMP11?
I have a major problem with the Sync capabilities of Windows Media Player 11.
Every time I plug in any USB device while WMP11 is running, or when I run
WMP11 while a device is plugged into my USB port, the entire machine SLOWS
DOWN and the device bvecomes unusable for about ten minutes as WMP tries to
SYNC to it.
I want to simply TURN OFF the SYNC option altogether so that this does not...

error code in media player 11??
I keep getting error code COOD11B1 and c00d10b5 while trying to play back
items in media player 11 it says something about the sound card??? I have
tried uninstalling media player 11 and it will not let me uninstall it from
add/remove programs??? Any help???

Windows Media Player won't show .avi video
Hi! :-)
Earlier today, I brought some .avi videos to a relative who very recently
bought a Windows Vista desktop. When I tried to play the videos, Windows
Media Player played the sound, but would only show that Psychedelic

dissapearing media player?
My windows media player dissapears off my screen yet it will play my audio
video files. I used to be able to grab and move it back onscreen and resize
it, but now it wont even do that i have re installed it and it still acts the
same. whats happening?

WMC w/ Combo TV Tuner.. Not working!!!!!
Bought new Gateway PC with Vista and ViXS PureTV-U 4899 (NTSC/ATSC Combo).
Can not recv Comcast Cable channels. WMC does not pick up the signals.
Directly connecting to PC TV Tuner (no Setup Box). Gateway Tech wll not
support. I have sen a few articales about the diffuculty with the combo
tuners and WMC. Can someone direct to me a fix? or should I return the PC
since its still new?...

Can't see any video file
Hello, i'm having a problem with WMP 11, any help would be fantastic.
Whenever i try to play a video, be it streaming from the internet or a
playing directly from a DVD, i cannot see it. However i can hear whats going
on, but it just show a blank screen.
Once again, any help would be great....

I am rendering to WMV9/WMA9.2 using Sony Vegas 7, and when I use any media

Missing Radio Stations
I've been trying to get all my radio stations but many of them are missing,
In the Media Guide, I click on radio tuner, then choose 'news and talk', then
'show all' but only about 20 or so stations appear. All my favorite ones
have disappeared.
Is the server down, is there something wrong with my pc or has Microsoft for
some reason taken them off.
Please advise,...

Meida player 11 video problem
I have recently been experiencing a problem with media player at the Fox news
web site. It will not open any video but doesn't give me an error message
either. It just goes to the page and a yellow box appears and then just
stays like that.
I am running Vista and it seems to work well on other news sites and I
believe it did work on Fox at one time.
Any help would be appreciated....

Windows Media player has encountered a problem
I encountered the problem of appearing to lose my library, been through help
pages, uninstalled and reinstalled media player, will not media share files
missing media player crashes, and also causes Dr watson to crash as well
If you search for media it will play media, but not enter anything in library

Problem reinstalling WMP11
Trying to install sound blaster board on Win Xp SP2 I got a nice blue screen.
To recover from it I was forced to reinstall SP2, but this caused loss of
last version (11) of Win Media Player, despite the fact it appears as
installed in Add/Remove Programs folder. So I tried to reinstall it, but I
wasn't able to remove it, even using standard methods (launching

Windows Media Player 11 Audio but no Visual
Hi,
I'm attempting to play a *.wmv file on Windows Media Player 11 however I can
only get sound with no video. I have tested this file on other XP machines
with no problem and they are all running WMP 11. I notice that there are no
bundle codec packages available for WMP 11 however this should not be an
issue as the PC does have a live web connection and is logged in as admin.
