Printer Problem - Can't Uninstall
I'm having problems trying to uninstall a network printer that I suspect
installed XP drivers. The print spooler app keeps crashing and even when I
go in to Services and restart the spooler as soon as I try to delete the
offending printer the spooler program crashes. I can restart the spooler
attempt to delete the printrer again but the spooler shuts down again.
Anyone have any suggest...

cant send a fax directly from the PC
I have the HP psc 2410 All In One working fine on Vista Business!
The only thing i want to fix is to be able to send faxes directly from the pc
as i was doing in XP with HP Dirtector. By the way the Fax and scan sees only
my scanner and printer....i cant see anything about HP fax in the fax
accounts!! :(
Can anyone help me or recommend me a software release??

HP LaserJet 1012: It's Just NOT Being Recognized......
Hello.
I'm having an enormous amount of trouble getting my HP LaserJet 1012
laser printer recognized by Vista Home Premium.
Here's what's going on: This is the second time I've installed Vista
Home Premium. (It's a legit copy, full version, not upgrade.)

Document Scanning and Picture Viewing in Vista
Didn't there used to be a document scan program in Vista? Or was a function
of Office 2007? I used one to OCR documents. Anyway, I installed a HP AIO
and now the program is gone. Also, there was a Picture Viewer that is also
gone, along with my file association for jpg files. Can I go back to my
original CDs and reinstall them?

Linking to Outlook 2007 contacts?
How can we link the Outlook 2007 contact address book to the 'Windows Fax
and Scan' address book so that we do not need to keep importing and
exporting contacts? We have been told that this link should be automatic,
but neither the 'Windows Fax and Scan' nor 'Windows Mail' address books
display any Outlook 2007 contacts. Furthermore, we do not see any way to
manually select this option...

Recipient company feild for WSF coverpages
Ho do I insert a field for recipients company in WFS cover page editor?
Only two feild options appear for me in cover page editor under the
Insert/Recipient menu - Recipient Name, and Recipient Number.
This must be possible - it would have to be a pretty fundamental omission!
Who would ever address a fax to someone in a company without also showing
at least the recipients company ...

i have an hp psc 500 printer copier scanner. my new puter only has usb ports.
can i looked for a cable to go from 25 button to usb. can't find in stores
but c 1 on e-bay that looks like it will work. can i buy cable and dl driver
and print and scan.

Choosing a port to print
Normally, you specify a name of printer to open when start printing. The
printer is a printer driver + port. Sysadmin is allowed to change the ports

Printer Driver needed for AL-1655CS manufatured by Sharp
In trying to setup a HP Pavilion dv9000 series laptop with a printer
manufactured by Sharp Coorporation model AL-1655CS it turns out that the
drivers supplied by Sharp are windows XP compatable downward and not for
Vista. Is there a generic printer driver that will work for this model

scanning into a pdf file
Hi
I am using HP 7400c with fax and scan. Yes I can scan into fax and scan,
but can oly save file types .bmp, .jpeg, .jpn and tif. For documents tif's
are huge files. Would be much better to save as multipage pdf's, is there an
add on which put pdf's in to the files type list under the save as icon?
I have tried using a pdf printer but that is cumbersome and many key strokes
to achiev...

HP DCS Device Host has stopped working, anyone suggest a fix?
Hi there,
Vista Ultimate and HO 2550L loaded HP's Easy Printer Care for Vista and keep
getting the following message HP DCS Device Host has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly Windows will close
the program and notify you if a solution is available. This message pops up
at least 3 times at boot up?

Printing PDF/Publisher files
When I preview a print job or print that actual PDF or Publisher document, it
offsets its margins. When I'm working on the doc it looks perfect, my margins
are correct, etc....but when I print it, it offsets the whole doc down and to
the left?? HELP!!!! Driving me nuts....

Idle printer
I have a new Sony laptop and a new Epson printer (RX580). I have set-up a
wireless network and everything works but the printer. My desktop has XP and
the laptop has Vista. When the print set-up page comes up it shows that the
printer is idle. I assume this is why I cannot print from my laptop. What
can I do to correct this so I can print from my laptop?...

How to use printbrm.exe to migrate individual printers ?

Vista or Publisher2007? Filling shapes...
I cannot test whether this is a Vista Home Premium or an MSPublisher2007
problem, nevertheless filled auto-shapes in an MS Publisher 2007 document do
not print as expected when Fill and a colour are selected. They will print in
outline only, when Outline is selected, but not at all when No Line is chosen.
A work-round:
Select the shape in the document.

vista ultimite
when I run 2gb of ram the system will run ok. But when I put the other 2gb of
ram in to make it 4gb of ram the system will not start up. I get the blue

Sharing printer with Vista and XP computers
My printer is connected to my computer with Vista. How do I set up my laptop
with XP so that I can print? I have networked before I purchased a PV with
Vista. Please keep it simple...I did not understand previous posts that
discuss bits. I understand that I probably have to download a driver for
one or both of the computers.

Can't print in IE7
I am using Vista Ultimate and when I tried to print I got an error message:
Cannot find 'file///C:/TEMP/Low/HJUGN4G.htm' Make sure the path or Internet
address is correct.
The Low directory does exist.

download my HP scanner 4400 into Window vista
when I insert the disc it does not respond, tried many times and later on I
tried to delete what ever I have my downloading but would not allowed me and
I am still waiting for a sollution how to let window vista to accept my HP

2 sided printing on 7410
There are numerous comments about there being a driver problem with the
officejet 7410 when trying to print 2 sided documents. It appears to me that
it is trying to print in the manual mode. Has Msft done anything to fix this
driver. The comments I saw were from back in Februaury....

Can't Print
My husband is network savvy and has installed printer drivers on my Toshiba
Satellite laptop that runs Vista Home premium. We have two desktops and
three printers. With our desktops we can print on any of the three printers.
With my laptop, we can print on NONE of the three printers. The laptop sees
them, we hit print and get absolutely nothing. Nothing appears in the queue,
nothing...

Relinking old 'Inbox' and 'Sent Items'
When reinstalling Windows Vista, how do we re-link Windows Fax and Scan to
the old incoming and outgoing faxes stored in the old 'Inbox' and 'Sent
Items' folders? After reinstalling we configured the program to the same
folder as before for storing faxes.

Odd Print Message: Active Directory Domain Services . . .
Suddenly (today), when I sent a print command, the printer did not respond. I
checked all connnections, etc. Went through printer software. All OK.
Eventually got the message: "Active Directory Domain Services is currently
unavailable."
Never saw this before. From my Google research (not Microsoft Help), this is
a techy issue. What does it have to do with my printer/printing?

Windows Fax & Scan Automatic Receving
I have followed all the instructions in windows help as I thought I'd gone
mad trying to get windows fax & scan to automatically answer calls, however I
have the fax account setup correctly, fax settings tell me it is set to
automatically answer after 2 rings, but it doesn't. I will manually receive -
however this is not much use when I am not in to answer it! Am I missing
something real...
