x64 can't connect to router/net
I've been trying over the weekend to install Ultimate x64. The install
goes fine but when I reach the desktop and attempt to update I can't.
Opening the network and sharing centre shows there is a network and
internet access, but if I open IE and attempt to visit a site I get no
reply from the server. It tries to communicate according to the IE

Errors 1231/1232 Unidentified Network
Hi,
I have a problem that I'm quite sure is Vista-Asscociated.
I recently switched from directly being plugged into my modem, to a
router-system at home for my computer.
However, the problem is that I get the "Unidentified Network" in the
Networks section, and I can't ping my own IP or Default gate way, as it gives
me a "PING: transmit failed, error code 1231." message.
Currently...

How can a giant corporation like Microsoft lack such common sense???
So you bring out a new operating system, but then your customers find the
most difficult thing they face is newworking their old system with their
super new one.

this! Running mixed system networks is now a nightmare!!!

Possible Offline files problem causeing laptops to take an age to start/wake.
Hi,
We run several laptops that seem to have issues with Vista during start-up
and returning from sleep. They seem to take a huge amount of time before the
HDD stops thrashing and for the systems to become responsive. After the
laptops wake from sleep, often they become very unresponsive to the point
that some applications simply stop working (such as task manager). When
trying to reboot t...
