Windows Photo Gallery won't open
Got new computer and worked O K for about a month. Now when I try to open
Windows Photo Gallery I get a message : C:\Program Files\Windows Photo
Gallery\WindowsPhotoGallery.exe The specified path does not exist
Check the path and try again. Have I lost the program? Any ideas?...

Lost Pictures
I seem to have accidently deleted my entire photo collection on
my computer. I was sure that I had a backup, but it has apparently been lost.
Windows Photo Gallery displays thumbnails of all the photos, but can't find
the image files to display full size pictures. It won't allow me to copy the
displayed thumbnails. Does Photo Gallery store a separate collection of small
sized...

Splitting clips in Movie Maker (Vista)
Hi there,
I'm having trouble splitting a wmv file into a number of different clips in
Movie maker v 6.0 under Vista.
I've managed to get it to work once but then never again.
I have created a new collection (folder) called Clips.
I split off a small part of the main wmv file in the timeline window into a

itunes setup assistant warning
So I updated to Windows Vista Home Premium a few days ago...I have itunes 7.2
but today when i try to open itunes an iTunes Setup Assistant Warning comes
up. It says..."Warning! The registry settings used by the drivers for
importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result

Hauppage PVR-150 Problem
Hi,
I have the video capture card mentioned above, Vista Ultimate detected it an
installed the drivers for it, I then installed the driver/applications that
are on the Hauppage website, including the MPEG decoders.
At first Media Center was able to work well with these, but now after a few
updates from Microsoft, Media Center doesn't gives me any images from the
video capture card.

Sample Music
After the "sample music" folder is opened, a list of about a dozen songs are
listed. The tool bar above the list includes a command titled, "Play all".
I click on it and.....nothing happens.
Yet, if I select a single song and click a different command called, "Play"
which pops a menu to select Windows Media Player, that one song will play.
Even if I select all the songs, then click "...

Recording audio
Is there a way to record audio that is already going thru the sound card -
like the radio output of iTunes for instance? I've tried but get zero level
audio :-(

How To Print 3 4x6 Pic's On One Sheet?
I am an amature photographer and print all my own pictures. When I was on
XP, I was able to print 3 4x6 pictures on one 8.5x11 sheet of paper using the
print option under Photo and Fax Viewer. Now that I'm on Vista, I am only
able to print 2 4x6 pictures on one 8.5x11 sheet of paper using the included
print option in Vista. I cannot find an option to allow 3 4x6 pictures to be
printed...

captions not displaying
I've created a group of pictures with captions within photo gallery. Burned
them to CD, but when my friend tries to open them on her computer, no
captions are displayed? Is there a compatibility issue? Is the metadata
with the pictures, but the other person needs vista on their computer for
this to work?

No photos in Photo Gallery
I have no photos or video in my windows photo gallery, the help says that
photos and videos in the pictures folder are automatically placed in photo
gallery. I have heaps of pictures in the pictures folder but nothing shows up
in photo gallery.

downloading pics on a cd from xp to vista ,,no subtitles
i recently purchased a new laptop with vista, was wanting to take all my
pictures
on cd, that was downloaded from xp and all had subtitles, but when i copy them
to my new vista, all the subtitles have disappeared.

Windows Vista Sound Recorder
My old Windows XP machine allowed me to record sound on my PC. I could record
streaming sound or sound from an external source. It was easy, uncomplicated
and visual.
I've tried to do the same with Vista but cannot. I can hear streaming
sounds, audio CDs and play games while hearing sound. However, when I record
sounds (music, audio content, etc) it looks like Vista does not hear it

Microsoft Digital Imag
Does anyone know if the Digital Image suite or Picture It will work in Vista?
Really hate the Photo Gallery for editing and don't want to spring for Corel
Draw. The Vista Photo Gallery is great for organizing but that's about it.

Windows Media Player won't play some recorded .asf files
There is no apparent reason why one file will play back and the next moment
iqual file from same source won't. Have got error message about file type or
codec. Obviously not applicable since it supports .asf and the same codecs
have played in other files. Also got to Error C00D1199 but can't find nothing
in its breakdown that seems to apply. The files were recorded from streaming.

Viewing images on dual monitors
Well I think this image should show the problem. On the right monitor (which
the graphics card sees as the primary monitor, even if Vista doesn't) images
display properly, but on the left monitor they're red.
Driver issue? I have a Geforce 8800.

i burned a dvd from movie maker using nero and the video is fine but has no
sound? i tried to find answer in posted questions and even tried to contact
support at nero but they had me going in circles and i couldnt keep up,please

VISTA
I am new to VISTA. There seem to be a vast number of incompatability
problems. For example, I had a HECK of a time just getting online for the
first time. The default dialup kept changing without consent.
My computer came with absolutely NO VISTA instructions, so my Win98SE
knowledge appears to have been crippled with this much less user friendly
format.

WMP - no video, just audio
I have a unique problem that even techs (no doubt in India) can't even fix.
I have created several files using the Windows Movie Maker program. I have
published these files to my computer (in addition to a DVD) for easy

media player, divx, not running smooth
Hi,
when I play DivX movies on Mediaplayer (Vista Ultimate), the picture starts
to freeze about once every minute, sometimes more, sometimes less.
I ran the Resource Montior in parallel and I can see that at precisely these
moments the HDD activity peaks to 100%. I didn't have any such problems on
XP.I couldn't quite figure out which application or service makes the disk
activity peak...

AOL 9.0VR save picture file inop.
Why is that when I try to save a picture in AOL as a jpeg file the
computer(with Vista) won,t allow me to accept that type of file. It only has
the option for an *.art file or bitmap. Nether file works with any program I
try to open with. All say the files are corruted or they don't recognize the
formats. My old computer using XP works fine. Sure could use some help here!
