Importing to Windows Photo Gallery
When importing with Camera Card windows imports all pictures including
previous imported pictures. This just started happening. WHY? I have Vista
Premium and Works 9....

Power Point to swf to Movie Maker?
Hello!
I made a slideshow w/photos, animation and music in Power Point. Then I
converted it to .swf because I was told I could upload it so it could be
watched on my website:(
Now I guess I have to redo the whole thing, unless someone knows how to
convert it for free (swfupload doesnt work for me) into Movie Maker? Any
help you can give me will be greatly appreciated!

transferring music from my vista laptop to my sony w980i mobile
when my music has copied to my phone a lot of the track names and artists are
showing as unknown how do i correct this? The cd's ripped were original and
not copies.

window's dvd maker not working
:( hi can some-one help me please windows dvd maker was working all good
and then the other day i went to use it and it just froze my computer
?????????? i can import files and create but if i preview or try to burn
it freeze's my whole computer! please help as i love using this :cry:

auto wallpaper changer
I have a DEll 30" monitor and Windows Vista home basic and a GeForce
9600GT graphics card.
I have always used Auto Wallpaper Changer by Steve Murphy and found the
programme reliable and excellent.
With the monitor set to 1024X768 the wallpaper images are displayed
full screen.
However it the monitor is set to 1920X1200 the wallpaper image is
reduced to about 1/4 full screen size.

Windows Movie Maker and .avi files
Is there a way to take a AVI movie I made and strip out each frame of the
movie to individual frames with Movie Maker, I thought I did this in windows
xp but not sure. Or can someone tell me of a freeware program that does
this.

No audio in mpeg2 video
Hi,
I'm going spare on this: I have home videos recorded as mpeg2 files.
They work fine on my old laptop, but on my new one (running Vista basic)
they only play as video with no audio. I have tried installing
ac3filter, but that hasn't helped. Viedoinspector doesn't seem to offer
any advice.
Please help - the new laptop is greatr in every respect apart from
this...

update to Winows Photo Gallery
Hi,
When i start Windows Photo Gallery, i get a message saying there is an
update to Winows Photo Gallery that will allow me to see my camera's RAW
files. I click 'Download' and it forwards me to Nikon's website where i
download a file and install it (i've done this 3 times now) successfully. i

Can't Upload Images
Heya. I've recently upgraded to Vista Home Edition, and since then I
have been completely unable to upload pictures. I use Firefox 3.0.3 and
IE 7.0. If I try to upload to imageshack or any number of similar image
hosting sites, I get this:

Vista Media Center Playback buffer
Hi,
I get occasional video stutter everytime I use Vista Media Center to watch a
video from my Windows Home Server. I also used to have
this problem using Windows Media Player but was able to solve this by
increasing the buffer. Is there anyway to do the same thing for
Media Center?

Copy DVD to hard drive
I'm trying to copy a DVD of my sons recent boxing match to my hard
drive. When I insert the disc it auto plays. If I stop the play & go in
through my computer & copy all files then i'm left with 3 folders:
AUDIO_TS VIDEO_RM VIDEO_TS none of which play the film im trying to
copy. Please tell me where i'm going wrong. Also please put it in simple
terms as i'm no computer whizz :confused:

Colours oversaturated in Photo Gallery
In both Photo Gallery and Live Photo Gallery, I am finding that colours
are grossly oversaturated, especially reds. This does not happen with
other photo display software, such as Picasa or Photoshop, so it seems
to be a problem within Photo Gallery rather than an issue with how my
monitor displays colours.
To some extent I can solve the problem by using the "Saturation" tool
in Live Photo Gall...

Windows DVD cut bottom of a movie
Hi,
I used Windows Movie Maker in Vista premium to import video from my
SONY HCR-HC3 camcorder. After I edited the movie, previewed movie and
every thing looks fine. Then I burned the movie to DVD. When playing on
DVD, I did not see the bottom part of my movie. it seems that windows
DVD only encoded the top part of my movie. Does any one knows how to fix
this problem? Thank you in advance

Setting WMP11 As My Default
I just installed QuickTime and I want to use WMP as my default. Under Set
Default Programs, I've selected WMP as my default. It was still defaulting
to QuickTime so I went to Set Program Access and Computer Defaults and
selected WMP instead Use My Current Media Player but it reverts to the
latter.I then selected QuickTime and under Set Program Associations and set
all extensions for WMP....

screensaver slideshow
Hello All, I have my screen saver configured to slideshow, and the preview
works fine, but it never comes in after the specified amount of minutes of
standby, no matter the setting. I have Windows Vista Home Edition, with SP1
and all updates included. I do have a wireless mouse and I ran the option
suggested by some one about this conflict, and it worked for a while, but it
is not workin...

Problems with MPG's
I created an MPG on a Windows XP PC using Windows movie maker and have been
successfully transferring it, via my flash drive, to other XP PC's.
Everybody has been able to view it using Windows Media Player. I now need to
transfer it to a DVD to send overseas but none of us has a DVD burner.
I brought the flash stick home and transferred the MPG file over to my Vista
Home Premium PC a...

Can't open jpg photo attachment in Windows Mail
The error message is telling me that the file does not have a program
associated with it and I must set association for it. Cannot find out
how to do this. can anyone help? This has happened on a number of
attachments - often the jpg kind.:(

DVD+RW adding to
When I try to add another video clip to a DVD+RW disk it won't let me. I
have to overwrite the clip that is already on. I can add to CD RWs with no
problem, so why won't DVD+RWs let me do the same? I have overcome the
problem by using a new DVD R disk for every video clip but it is such a
waste of DVD disks. Anyone any ideas as to what I am doing wrong. I am
using Windows Movie Maker...

Picture album problems.
Ok...ive been really happy with my vista(32 bit premium)
but suddenly one day when i wanted to view my pictures in my pic
album...i couldnt...there was just the same sample image on each one of
them(like a mountain thingy) and its really annoying me lately...then i
noticed that when i went to my folder (my documents,videos etc) the pic
album was gone!!
i need help..plz help me

I edit channels and they just revert
Why is that?
I scan and rescan
I edit and re-edit
but they just go on changing back
I am in Australia

No sound on Windows Vista
I'm new here. I hope somebody can help me.
I have a Windows Vista (Hewlett Packard). There is no sound on my
computer. I accidentally uninstalled Realtek HD Audio Manager. The
Volume Mixer doesn't work either. The messages I get say there is no
audio device is installed? Do Ihave to reinstall Realtek HD Audio
Manager? Where can I download it?

Recorded OTA 1080i HD program in vista media center but shows 720x480 resolution
I know for sure the over-the-air HD channels (ABC, NBC, CBS...) are
broadcasting in 1080i and have verified this with another
tuner/recording program and with the tv's hd tuner... The DVR-MS files
show 720x480 when I open them in windows 'media'
(http://www.vistaheads.com/forums/#) player and view the properties.
Any ideas? Shouldn't 1080 content be recorded as 1920x1080? The ATI
catalyst media ...

help please, how to make a dvd
Hello
I have a large collection of video files downloaded from the web over the
years, hundreds of them, many are quite short but I dont want to lose them.
They are in various formats, wmv,avi,flv, rm,ram, quicktime, etc etc.
I would like to copy them all to a dvd and play them on my television via my
dvd player.
Can I do this ?
I have to convert them to dvd-v format I think, ?

My AVI FILES WONT PLAY ?
When I got my new vista computer ..I found the WMP would,nt play any AVI
files :huh:..I had no problem with my old XP computer . I have
downloaded REAL PLAYER to see if that will play them ..but its the same
with that also . So why is it I cant play them back anymore ..have a few
films i would love to be able to view again :cry:
Anyone know of a fix for this ..its soooooooooooo annoying
