Can I edit .AVI film clips?
I used my Fujifilm digital camera to record 3 brief film clips.
DSCF8371.AVI is 15 seconds long. When I double click on it, it plays with
Windows Media Player, including sound. I want to clip off the last 10
seconds, so I can email a shorter clip to my relatives. Can I do this
somehow? I have Vista Home Premium. If possible, I'd like to concatenate

Vista did not install the help system
I installed Vista and it is running well except for one little glitch, it did
not install the help system. Whenever I press F1 to get help, I get a dialog
box that says "Internet explorer cannot download / from windows." The dialog
box also says "Internet Explorer was not able to open this site. The
requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again
later."

Yahoo music Jukebox
Audio will not play on Yahoo Music juke box. I get the following message:
unable to play media (unresponsive). I have followed the instructions below,

WMP 11 - Update album info not working
Hello,
I am trying to solve a problem that's really bothering me. When I go to put
in a CD under WMP11 I am trying to update the album info before ripping. I
right click on the "unknown ablum" and click on find album info. It finds
the correct album, however when i press "finish" it doesn't do anything at

VOB to WMV with movie maker
I've recorded 10 episodes of a series. Each one on DVD in VOB format. All
were done at XP (record setting) with 64 minutes per disc.
The first 9 are OK. The tenth seems to have a time stamp of 26 hours. The
DVD plays just fine and runs 1 hour. However, when uploaded to movie maker
I can't edit it. Movie maker errors at files exceeding 24 hours, and returns
error if project is over ...

WMP11 died!!
Help;
I can't get any sound out WMP11 now...(it was fine yesterday) Also
windows sounds don't work either...anyone else having this problem..I'm
running Vista Home Premium......the error message says that nothing is

Shutting Down Windows Media Player Completely with the X Toaster?
Hello.
I just got a new computer with Vista Home Premium, and have a question
about Windows Media Player. I've searched various help documentation
and could not find the answer, so I'd like to ask it here.
When I click the X toaster in the upper right hand corner, it does not

No sound when playing videos, mp3s...etc
Can someone please help? I have Vista and when I play videos, mp3s...etc I
get no sound and Windows Media Player says "Windows Media Player has

I am logged on as Administrator. When I try to start iTunes I get the

The folder "i Tunes" is on a locked disk or you do not have write

Dual Screen Setup

When I click on a link for a video, that would normaly open the Media PLayer
and play whatever video it is, it open a box to download it instead. I cant
figure it out, but Im no wiz either. Videos on YouTube are not a problem
however.

Window Media Burn
I am trying to burn a CD and the play list I have does not have space between
the tracks, but when I burn the CD, there is a space between songs. Can this
be eliminated? I need the CD to play straight through without pauses. Thanks....

Recorded TV icons 'blank'
After the Media Center update of 24-4-2007 (KB932818), the Recorded TV
'preview icons' are blank (blue with title). This is in Vista Media Center as
in the Explorer and on my Xbox360 as media extender.
Has this changed? Is there setting to get the small previews back?

WMP11 not automatically monitoring folders
I have WMP11 set to automatically monitor my music folder. However I've
noticed that it is not detecting new music that is added to this folder. The
only time it finds the music is the next time I manually initiate a scan. Why
is this not working? I have Vista Home Premium....

WMM crashes when I try to publish.
keeps crashing when I try to publish in any format and any media. I have
Nero 7 installed but unchecked the "compatibility" in WMM settings.

Movie Maker Preview not working
Hello everyone, I have seen various postings on this issue but no resolutions

show/Hide playlist in Windows Media Player 11
I am playing a playlist via LAN which worked as advertised. I have lost the
playlist on the dialog that had visulization and playlist showing. Now
visulization takes up the entire dialog. There must be a way to select

At exactly 20 seconds prior to the end of every song played (repeat every
single song, every single song, every single song) on Windows Media Player
