Two questions about Windows DVD Maker
Hi,
Hope i'm in the right forum to ask this question.
I have made a slideshow with Windows Movie Maker & am now trying to
make the DVD in Windows DVD Maker, & i'm running into one problem after
the other!
Firstly, i have put my audio to the menu screen, however it only plays
for 10 seconds & sounds really bad because it cuts off midway through a
note & then replays..... doesn't even wait for ...

Photo Gallery won't load
When I click on a folder in my Pictures folder, I get this error
message: You can't add this location to the Gallery. This folder or one
of its parent folders is considered a system folder or marked as hidden.
It's recommended that you move your pictures to the pictures folder or
to another folder."|
And whatever I do, I can't get any pictures into PG. I'd really
appreciate some assistance wit...

Vista and Photos
I am an amateur photographer and I having a problem transferring photos
(mostly jpegs) from my computer (and from my external hard drive) to flash
drives The problem is, when I copy photos to the flash drives about
one-tenth of them become corrupted. If I copy 500 perfectly fine photos,

XP won't read data cd burned on Vista
I burned some documents and word processing files onto a cd using Windows
Vista. The burn was good as I was able to call up the files from the cd
drive. I then tried to access the files on a computer running XP. The disc
read as completely blank, showing all 700MB or so as free space. I went back
to my Vista computer and burned the content onto a new cd using Nero

.arw thumbnails won't open in explorer
I am having problems trying to get raw sony files to register as
thumbnails in explorer. i have tried all the usual things e.g. Folder
options always show thumbnils never icons etc. Been to sony download
page and downloaded latest sony driver. tried a variety of open with
various programme options. raw files open in all my applications but
not in explorer would appreciate some help pleases.

Windows Media Player 11 - Lyrics display
Can anyone tell me how to improve the display of lyrics in Windows Media
Player 11?
The horrible little black box in the bottom left hand corner displays
only 6 lines. Lyrics stored as ID3 tags are displayed there with the
setting: Play > Lyrics, captions & subtitles > on, if available. I

Video (DivX/xVid AVI) Meta Tags
Does anyone know of a way to embed meta tags into DivX AVI files?
I use Window Live Photo Gallery (that oddly enough also shows videos)
to tag all my images and videos with keywords such as show title,
actors, etc...
But if I clear the Gallery database and re-initialize it (or copy a new
AVI file from backup disk onto the hard disk), then the Videos show up
as untagged.

Adobe Premiere Elements 4 won't install
I get all the way up to the install button, I click it, and a pop-up box
comes up saying "Error 1500" and then it says something about having to
finish an installation before I can install Premiere, but I'm not
installing anything else! Help!

No sound from youtube only
I have Vista, have 5 user accounts, everything was fine until about a month
ago when youtube (and only youtube) audio stopped playing when in user
account #1 (all other accounts allowed YT audio to play). Just a couple of

Not thumbnails but... thin vertical lines? (Halp!)

help with pc video formats and dvd
Hello,
Can anyone point me to a site or document that explains in layman's language
what the various pc video formats, eg mpg, avi, mov are, and how they relate
to a dvd format ?
If I use Windows Moviemaker I can collect several vids together and publish
them as a single vid, but if I publish to my pc should I use 'recommended
format for my pc' or 'DV-PAL' (which gives a 10 or 1...

Windows Media player
My WMP will not play video clips either downloaded or homemade. It plays
music ok. I am wondering if there is a conflict with my Nero software or
QuickTime Player? Web help tells me it is error message C00D11B1 and the
sound device driver may need updating but everything appears to be up to date....

No Sound with DVD playback
I have several DVD's that all play fine with Windows Vista. When I play them
on my Vista Machine some play perfectly, but with others the video plays
perfectly but there is absolutely no sound. Even with the volume set to max
in Windows , Windows Media Player, or Windows Media Center.
Does anyone have a solution?

Truncating Photos
My computer is truncating photos, and it doesn't matter which camera or
which memory cards they come from. What happens is when I am trying to
move them over to my external hard drive, it says "cannot copy file from
source" and when I try to open them with photo gallery or photoshop,
they come out half picture, half white or grey, or slices of photo

Movie Maker isn't working

Windows Movie Maker stops working
I bring up the program and within 15 seconds the sreen goes white and
says the program not working.
Then it scans itself and says its shutting down and will notify me of
any fixes.

Photos..600dpi converting to 96dpi when emailed HELP PLEASE
Sending manuscript with color photos to a book publisher. I received photos
via email from a photograper friend. Viewing in My Pictures is great both
received and when sent to other friends via email. (Explorer 7) All photos
were converted in Digital Imaging Suite 6 to 600 dpi for submission. When
emailed as attachments, or within manuscript, all are converting to 96dpi.

Movie Maker only imports *.wmv files
My OS is Vista Home Basic. I have tried the pre-installed MMkr (6.0)and
downloaded MMkr 2.6. In both cases the only type of file I can import is
a *.wmv. When trying to import *.mpg, *.avi type files it tells me I
don't have the right codecs on my laptop to play these files even though
they play fine in Windows Media player.
Any ideas?

Windows Movie Maker won't save narration
When I record a narration (ie click "Start Narration") all goes well, but
when I click the "Stop Narration" button the option to save the file does not
appear!!! I select the "mute speakers" box have the righ Audio device
selected and the little coloured scale shows sound is going in. Also all
other functions in movie maker work fine. OS is Vista Business with SP1. Mike

Windows Photo Gallery Viewing at Random
Don't know if anyone has come across this problem but it's kinda
annoying and I can't seem to find an option to get it fixed.
Here's the problem:
Everytime I view pictures from my camera in a folder, I press next and
the photos displayed go as random. Meaning, it doesn't follow the number
order of the picture like say IMG_2430>IMG_2431.. and so on. It jumps
around like from IMG_2430>IMG24...
