pic gallery keeps asking for update
Greetings...
Anyone from MS listening? Picture Gallery keeps stating that there is an
update for the Nikon nef file... go to update the file and Vista says that
it's already updated... update anyway and gallery still says there is any
update needed...
Picture Gallery will not see the nef files now...
Suggestions...

WHEN I PUT A DISC IN THE F DRIVE IT SHOWS THE NAME OF THE DISC BUT IT SAYS
THAT THERE IS NO PICTURES ON THE DISC. CAN ANYONE HELP?? I CANT VIEW THE
PICTURES , I KNOW THEY ARE THERE AND THEY OPEN ON MY XP SYSTEM....

windows dvd maker problem
when I add music to my slideshow, the windows dvd maker finishes with a
message: windows dvd maker had encountered a problem and it will terminate.

Error with avi files (Windows Movie Maker)
Hi, I have the following problem, when I try to edit a AVI files (not all)
WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER insert the file in the AUDIO section instead the VIDEO
section, so I'm unable to edit the file........

.avi files imports as audio file
When I try to import an .avi file, it won't go onto the timeline as a video
file, only as an audio file. What can I do to get the .avi files to get onto
the video timeline?...

Acdess problem Vista-Media Player11-Xbox360
Hi,
The problem I am having is that I can play the content I choose on my
computer through Media Player 11 or through Media Center on my PC (PC is
running Vista Home Premium). I can go to the Media blade on my Xbox 360 and
choose Media Center and I can play the music I have on my PC without any
problem (I am using music for example but the issue is the same for video and

Pixela - No New Driver
Just installed a fresh copy of Vista Home from Dell, and everything is fine
except the software for my Sony digicam doesn't work, nor does the driver,
and there is no update from Sony available. It is called Pixela.
Is there a workaround, or do I have to format and re-install XP? The whole
purpose of this new computer was to do my videos and video editing...many

Screen Flashing When Using Online Content in Media Center
I opened up Windows Media Center and tried to use the online content. I
clicked on the Jazz Station. After the window opened and the list appeared,
I started to scroll on the list. When I did so, the screen flashed a couple
of times. It continues to do this with the Jazz station after I open it and
begin to scroll. Is it the Jazz section or my computer? How can I fix it?...

Screensaver Photos in 1440x900 Fails
My 19" monitor requires 1440x900 at refresh 60hz. No other settings are
workable (60hz is the only available rate at that resolut.) At these
setting, Screensaver Photos option fails. I get the message INPUT NOT
SUPPORTED. The video card is Nvidia GeForce 6500 with updated driver.

Windows DVD Maker Error
I got it all set up and ready to burn. But when i click burn it encodes to
about .1% and then gives me an error that say "Cannot create the DVD" and the
reason is "Unspecified error" anyone get this or know how to fix it?...

Cannot Capture Full Screen MC Content
Print Screen key works when Media Center is not running in Full Screen mode.
However, when Media Center is using the full display, a Print Screen results
in a black image to the clipboard. It seems as if a full-screen display of
the Media Center cannot be captured at all. Does anyone know if this is by
design or are there any configuration settings in Vista to make this work?

no autoplay or explore on cd/dvd drive
No matter what type of disc I insert into my cd/dvd drive it will not
autoplay, and I cannot even explore the drive to find what is on the disc.
The only way it is possible to use the drive is to: select Computer - right
click on the drive icon - select search - and type in a file extension (such
as .exe) or type in setup etc. When I guess the correct search criteria a

Yellow backgroung in pictures
Hi,
I have an issue with the background color of pictures. I have Vista
Ultimate installed on my computer since it came out and never had this
problem before. Lately, all the pictures that I scanned lost the white

Can't Burn DVD's
I have recently acquired a laptop preloaded with Windows Vista Home Premium
which included a TV tuner card. At first I had no trouble buring Recored TV
to dvd but today when I tried this Windows Media Centre crashed and I

audio
audio does not work......the system sounds work fine but i can't hear any
sounds when i say look at a trailer online......the volume level indicator
shows something playing but no sound comes out of the speakers.....any

It would not let me save pictures
I would try to save pictures and when I tried to save them and then try to
look at them it would tell me "Photo Gallery can't open this picture or
video. This format is not supported or you don't have the lastest updates to
Photo Gallery." What should I do, because I have many family pictures from
websites and I would love to see tham. The only way I can see them is save

Can't play dvd's!
i have just installed vista premium and have windvd as my dvd player,i cannot
get any dvd's to play on windvd or media playeror media centre, error comes
up on windvd as 'create overlay failed,reduce resolution' even if i do this
it still wont play. Any ideas?...

Problems Media player
I have a couple of problems with WMP on Win vista home premium: from two days
the option menu, of wmp is missing, or better i have only the settings to
copy the cds and the mp bar (near the system tray, with the buttons to
control the player) is inactive, I did right click on the bar and i saw that
there is the flag on mp bar, but it doesn't work.

Sony DV Camcorder not working with Vista
