Cannot navigate the Activation jungle
I am using Vista Home Premium and it is a reinstall on a new machine. I was
pretty sure that I had activated it but, now, I see a message in the Control
panel that the activation must be done within 13 days. The online activation
does not work and, when I try the phone activation, entering the ID number
first, it says that this option has expired. I seem to have run into a road

finish the installation since 5am and it's now 1:20PM. The upgrade appeared
to go fine, restarting several times. From the time my computer hits the
post message, after restart, until the windows little logo comes up is only a
few seconds, however, from there until it gets to the login screen is

Sony compatibility with Ultimate
I have been trying to get the Windows Aero feature to work with my Sony

compatible with Ultimate. I was shocked since Sony is one of the world's
largest suppliers of computers. I have a Sony Vaio desktop. Just installed
Ultimate. So far so good. I can live without Aero if I have to. Anyone

Non-Genuine copy of Vista Problems
Hi,
My friend put on a non-genuine copy of vista ULTIMATE on my laptop. It kept
asking me to activate with the product key, but as this was not genuine i
didn't do anything.
My friend told me that it would just stop asking me for the product key, but
since i didn't activate my vista in time it has now de-activated and locked
me out of my computer.
What is the best thing for me to do? ...

Hi,
I have recently upgraded to Vista using an HP express upgrade disc and find
it not as satisifing (yet) as I expected. So I want to revert back to XP
using my XP recovery disc I created before I've upgraded and later during the
months or years I would reinstall Vista when maybe SP2 comes out or
something. So I was just wondering if when you install Vista again after
unistalling Vista...
