Hello,
I have been having lots of problems with the OEM Vista Home Premium due
to possible infections or ?, and I have decided to upgrade to Vista
Ultimate. I have the upgrade version ready to install and I have a few

vista boot failure
I am receiving a black screen with 'windows failed to boot because a critical
system driver is missing or corrupted'.
file:\windows\system32\drivers\nvstor.sys. the laptop had xp professional
installed when I bought. I later upgraded to Vista 32 bit. HP tells me I

Setting up IE 7 Tabbing
I have just started using IE7 on a Vista Ultimate latop. I have moved my own
homepage from my XP IE6 laptop. This homepage consists of a bunch of icons
with my favorite urls so that by clciking on one it brings up that website.
When I try to do this on IE 7 it opens a brand new IE 7 window intead of a

Installintg Vista Ultimate Upgrage package
My computer currently has XP Home installed. I'd like to experiment with
Vista BEFORE I remove XP and install Vista.
If I were to purchase the upgrade package of Vista ultimate, can I
successfully install the Vista package in a mulitboot setup? Can this Vista
package be installed without having to install XP Home first? Are there any
restrictions on how many times the upgrade package...

User access control (UAC) annoyance
Hi,
I have Vista Ultimate on my laptop. All the tools and software packages
are have been installed on my system for a while and are running fine.

Regress from "RAID-Ready" or AHCI to IDE
Is there some way to regress, revert, or go back from a "RAID-Ready" or even
AHCI setup to a plain old IDE setup in Vista Ultimate (x64) w/ SP1?
Searching the internet, I find tons of material for going from IDE to AHCI.

unable to connect to server
we have tried an also talk with our home internet server (24/7 support
team)they cannot tell us why my email will not connect.I have no promble with

x32 Vista Ultimate Install
Hello. It's sad that my first post here on the forums is a problem...

I'm trying to install a fresh copy of Vista: Ultimate edition. The

Display in Vista is Hard to View
Hello:
I just got a laptop with Vista, and the display (i.e. the wording) of web
pages and most programs is very small and hard to read.
Is there a way to change this to make the print larger? I know how to
change the general Display settings, but that does not seem to be making a
difference.

Restore manager returns an error
Hello there,
newbie here, Jimmy is my name..

SSID broadcast (or not)
A recent publication suggested that the first step to wireless
protection was to turn off the router broadcast. I tried it and
it appears to work. But the next time I rebooted, Windows Vista
Home Premium would not connect to the router. I did not realize
the problem until I rebooted. After turning off the broadcast,

Attempting to build an answer file for vista...
I am using the "Deploying Vista Step by Step Guide" that i downloaded from

Cannot install Security Update KB953155
I'm getting pop-up message "Windows Modules Installer stopped working
and was closed" on installing KB953155. If I dismiss this message the
Windows Update applet continues KB953155 installation forever. I have
to kill wuauctl.exe to get rid of the applet. Another bonus - if I
enable auto updates then I cannot shut down my PC, it tries to
configue updates forever.

Reinstalling Vista
I have been unable to solve several issues with my Vista. #1 blue screen
that I am unable to read ... something about crash dump and receiving script
errors in IE7 that will not cease. So I've deceided to reinstall Vista
before upgrading to Ultimate. Also, should I install SP1????

Dual Booting with Vista Home Premium 32 Bit and Vista Ultimate 64-Bit
I have my sytem currently with OS of Vista Home Premim 32-bit preloaded
with HP Laptop ( Core 2 Duo Processor , 2 GB DDR2 RAM). I want to go
with Dual Boot with Vista Ultimate 64 Bit.

Second HDD As Backup
I plan on moving all of my data onto my second HDD so that when I do a
reinstall my data will be untouched, is this possible? Or will Vista

Black screen after boot, before logon
Hi, I installed a clean fresh copy of Vista Ultimate 64-bit along with a
complete upgrade of my computer. After I install the latest Catalyst 8.11
drivers, I get a black screen after I boot up. The green loading bar still
