How to re-install ACPI fixed feature button
I have uninstalled the ACPI Fixed feature button from the device
manager. Can anybody help me on how to re-install it again and tell me
about the consequences of its uninstallment?
This feature did not automatically re-install after a restart..

Problem with Samsung 226BW monitor?
I recently bought this Samsung monitor and am running Vista Home Premium.
There is a 2"white/grey streak running vertically down the center of the
monitor especially visible on a black background. Can anyone tell me if this
is a sign of backlight failure or is it a graphics card issue?

4GB RAM???
I have a brand new pc with Vista Pro and 4Gb of RAM DDR800 on board. BIOS
correctly recognizes the right amount of memory but Windows don't. It reports
only 3,5 RAM. Am I missing something or it's a O.S. limit?

Vista Backup won't recognize external WD hard drive

Scary happenings mixing MS hardware
My Vista Ultimate has run flawlessly with my Wireless Laser Mouse 6000. I
added the keyboard from the Wireless Laser Desktop 6000 and strange things
are happening.
The USB dual receiver will not pick my mouse so I have 2 receivers on my

Nothing works with Vista?!?!?
I'm not really displeased with windows vista but one thing really dissapoints
me.
My Software that i have spent a lot of money on (eg: my all-in-one digital
camera printer, my nintendo ds WiFi USB connector & some of my PlayNC games)
I'm pretty sure that windows cant do nothing bout it but they should at least
try or something.

BSOD with DVD burner(s)

Webcam will not operate in any online chat rooms
I just purchased an HP 8010y desktop, with Vista. I installed my old camera,
Logitech Pro 4000 by going to the Logitech web site, and downloading the
software for Vista. The camera worked from the desktop, but when I went into
a chat room it would not work. In both MSN messenger and Yahoo messenger, it
would show that the camera was broadcasting, but there would be no picture.

DVD Writer - not working
When I load my pinnacle, it some how mess up my registry, my cd romm drive is
now a floppy drive I can't use my DVD writer at all. the follow

SDIO WLAN support during sleep
Windows Vista does not seem to support the SDIO based Wireless LAN cards
during standby/hibernate (S3/S4). Seems like Vista blocks the power supplied
to the device/bus during the sleep. Power should be supplied to the
bus/device if the wireless card need to support wake on feature.
Is it a bug or Windows Vista does not implement this support?

Download and install the driver for Sony Ericsson W850 USB Modem

My Computer to Computer - Icons ?
I did a fresh install of Ultimate and am running it on a Sony Vaio. Sont
used some custm icons on My Computer and I went on an unsuccesful hunt to
locate any images or icons for the Sony card reader. I see that Ultimate
will allow the user to assign icons for the different devices - if I
couldonly locate the icons. Any ideas ?

USB now does recognise new devices
I have a new OQO Model 02 1.5GHz VIA CPU, 1 GB RAM, 60Gb HD running windows
Vista Ultimate (with all the necessary updates). I have a problem with it. I
plugged in a Freecom external USB HD which the OQO recognised and installed.
I managed to install some applications and transfer some files. However the
power supply to the HD was loose so the drive disconnected/reconnected
several times...

No devices showing in Autoplay..help please
When I coonnect my iPod it synces properly with iTunes, it also shows
correctly in My Computer.
However, it also prompts an autoplay box to pop up every time. I went to
autoplay in CP thinking I could set it to be ignored. However it is not
showing as a device in autoplay. How can I fix this, so that it shows, or I
stop autoplay running everytime I connect my iPod?

Vista reports more video RAM than i have
Hey,
I have a NVIDIA 6800 GS with 256 MB memory. A dxdiag reports that i have 744
video memory, why is this?
Also when i go into system information on the NVIDIA control panel it tell
me that i have 256 MB dedicated and 495 MB shared, i was just wondering where
has this shared video RAM come from? (my motherboard has no on board graphics
chip).
