Hi
I have installed Readyboost on a USB flash drive, and now I just cannot get
the file deleted
(Readyboost).
Please tell me how to turn it off or remove.

ntdll.dll error
Hi, I'm using Windows Vista on my laptop ( Dell Inspiron 1521). And it's
one problem: when i start my computer I get error who says: Access
violation at address 77D9B15F in module 'ntdll.dll'. Write of address
00000014. Maybe you know what I need to do..? There is link how look

desktop back ground goes black
Since the weekend the desktop background has gone black. If I browse to find
a new background none are previewed. If I switch to the Windows Vista them,
first, then I can change the background. When I shut down and restart, the
background is back to black again and the theme shows as 'Modified theme'.

SVCHOST properties
i used my laptop very well yesterday.when i boot it this morning i
found out that the window will open but whn i type my password,welcom
appear but instead of opening a dialog box of SVCHOST propertis appear
and that is wher it will stop.
ther is a restore menu,ok menu,and cancel , i have tried all but it

trouble opening .pps file
I have newly installed Office Home & Studen 2007, including PowerPoint and
PowerPoint Viewer on this 64 bit Vista System. I can't open a pps
slideshow. I get a message saying there is no association for this
extension. I looked and the association is there and should work, but
doesn't.
Does anyone know what might be wrong? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Event Viewer
I looked in the Vista Event Viewer tonight and was surprised to see a lot of
"Warnings" and "Errors," in the Custom Views / Administrative Events. I spoke
to a few friends and they said they said they also see the same and not to
worry about it as long as I am not having a probolem with my Vista Premium.

IE7 does not show download buttons.
Windows Vista Home Premium. 3GB RAM.
One of our computer club member's computer has a strange phenomenom going
on. He was unable to access his bank account due to not having Java. I
suggested that he go to www.java.com and download it. He couldn't. The
Download button was not visible. My next suggestion was to go to
www.mozilla.com and download Firefox. He said there is no download button...

Folder names
Folders such as "my documents" and "my pictures" and "my music", etc, are
shown in windows explorer as "documents" and "pictures" and "music".
Is there a way I can stop Vista from trying to be friendly and just display
the folder names as they are in the system.

How do I Enable AutoPlay for all Users?
I need to enable AutoPlay (in VISTA) for all users on some public access
PCs that are locked down using Group Policy. The users need to be able
to insert a movie DVD and view the movie using PowerDVD without having

Toolbar changes disappear on re-boot
Vista Business SP1
Changes that I make to the toolbar at the bottom of the screen disappear the
next time I boot up. Specifically, I add the Address window (by right
clicking the toolbar, highlighting Toolbars, and checking Address). I also
rearrange the order of some of the icons on the Quick Launch bar.

IE8 Beta, YouTube, MySpace & Adobe Question
Hello,
I've already contacted MySpace.Com & Adobe about the following problem of
which does not happen with Firefox 3.
I'm told to install Flash (and I already have the latest, uninstalled and
reinstalled) or I won't be watching video or music apps appear.

Open Settings on Vista Gadget
Hi all,
Is there a way to open the settings panel without clicking in the
settings icon?
I created a gadget which the login is in the settings. I want to add a
link in the flyout saying "click here to login". This link will close
the flyout (no problems here) and open the settings.
Any idea?

BSOD: Page Fault in nonpaged area
Hello,
I just got this BSOD with the error: "Page Fault in NonPaged Area."
I have the technical information if that is useful. My latest .dmp file
is from the 5th (today is the 10th). Any help is appreciated. Vista is
driving me up the wall. I get a BSOD nearly daily. And the errors always
seem to be different. I have latest drives for vid card, mother board,

I just reinstalled as a VMWare virtual machine. Surprise! There are 89
updates to available for the default install.

Setting a new appointment in Windows Calendar
Every time I set a new appointment, I get reminder after reminder for the
new appointment even while I am creating it. Is this an anomaly? Is there
any way to stop that behavior when setting a new appt?
