TSCAL License Transition Site Problems?
I'm checking to see if anyone else is having difficulty using the Transition
site (http://licensecode.one.microsoft.com/transition) to exchange retail XP
product codes for TS CALs. After I input my XP codes and click Next, I get a
script timeout page with an ASP error (0113). I've tried this page from
multiple locations/browsers for over a week with no luck. MS, are you

Removing Per Device CAL token
I am a new IT Director that has inherited a LAN with a Terminal Server.
There were 19 Device CAL tokens purchased.
It appears that all have been issued, so no new connections are able to be
made right now. Plus... I don't recognize some of the PCs. Before I buy more
CALS, I would like to clean (remove) out some of the old PCs that have

Licensing Errors...
Ok.. here is a quick rundown of the scenario..
We had a Windows 2000 Server Terminal Services Licensing Server (COMM2
- Domain Controller), 2 Windows 2000 Server Terminal services
servers(TRMSRV1 & 2), and many clients as different locations, ranging
in OS from Windows 95 to Vista.
We are in the process of upgrading servers and domain to 2003, and I

Web pages refreshing when swapping from other applications
Hi
We have a problem on Terminal Server sessions whereby if a number of
different applications are being used within the session, the contents of web
pages are being refreshed as soon as a User swaps to the web page (IE 6 or
IE7) from any other application.
How can we stop this happening as the information we want is on the web page
and the refresh is taking a long time, unnecessaril...

Retriving List of TS pointing to a specific TS2003 License server.

Is there anyway I can find out what all Terminal Servers are pointing to my
2003 License Servers for CALS to users connecting to them.?

Terminal Services Licenses?
Currently from our XP desktops we can remote into our Windows 2003 server but
are restricted to 2 remote sessions.
What must I purchase to allow more than the 2 remote connections?

Disabling userlogon.cmd
Hello,
We are not using usrlogon.cmd on our Windows 2000 Terminal Servers. It seems
to interfere we our regular logon scripts. Can we safely disable it?

Open License Installed however clients still taking temporary lice
We purchased 10 Open License TSE Cals and installed and activated the license
server and all is well with that. However the new clients are still grabbing
the temporary licenses. I have gone to HKEY Local
Machine\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing and deleted that whole key. However
when device connects to the Terminal Server again it grabs another Temp
License. How do we stop this? We ...

Terminal Server 2000 Question
Hi People,
I have 3 server, 1 SBS 2000, 1 TS Server (W2K) and 1 APP Server (W2K).
After playing with the TS Server for over 90 days.....its now locked.
Now when I go to install the TS Licensing Server on the SBS 2000 Server I
get the screen with 'Terminal Server is currently configured to use - Remote
Administration'.
Now do I leave this as it is or choose Applications Server Mode?...

Server 2003 dropping connection
I have recently had a new pc at work as has my colleague (dell inspiron
6400). Since having my new laptop the connection when in server 2003 is
disconnecting intermitted for 30 seconds to a minute. The settings are the
same as my previous laptop which never disconnected.
Is their any security updates which could affect this or configurations with
the new laptop?

Show Desktop quicklaunch is missing.
Does anyone know what gpo setting hides the "Show Desktop" quicklaunch icon?
I'm not trying to hide mine, I'm trying to find it. ;-)
Somewhere in the process of modifying my gpo it vanished but I'm not sure
what setting caused this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to keep unauthorized users from launching Word or Excel.
Good morning,
I have a Windows 2003 Terminal Services and Citrix Presentation Server 4.0
environment.
I have Microsoft Office installed onth TS Servers and publish the apps to

RDP 6 client on XP problem
Connecting to 2003 server with rdp 6 client from windows XP and in a program
created with foxpro can't select text. Actually text is being selected, but
selection is not displayed. And navigating with keyboard arrows throw table
cells is not displayed.

Office 2003 Repair on 2003 Terminal Server
Hello,
I would like to run an office 2003 repair on our terminal server.
I know how to do this at a workstation level using add/remove
programs. I am wodering if the procedure is the same for a terminal
server.
My main cencern is preserving the users office settings and
preferences.

Remote Desktop vs Terminal Services
H Guys,
brand new install, Server 2003 (x32).
SO OK, I put together this nice new Windows Server 2003 (x32), join it to
the domain, and enable TS. I then connect to it remotely as Administrator,
all's well. So let's take the KB/mouse off and run her headless, move her
