Roaming Profiles Not Created??
Hi,
I have a Server 2008 server, and I'm using Terminal Services.
I've set the policy Set Path for TS Roaming User Profile to \\server\share,
but the Roaming Profiles never get created...
The share on the profiles server is set for Everyone Full Control access etc..
When logging onto the Terminal Server, the local profile is created, but no

Problems accessing Kepware via latest version of Remote Desktop
I am trying to access Kepware on another computer via Remote Desktop.
I am aware that the /console switch needs to be used when logging on
to get this to work properly, however, I am still finding that I can't
access Kepware on the other computer (no icon in the system tray;
nothing happens when I try to start it). I have been told that this
is an issue with Remote Desktop Client 6.0, and th...

Implementing Terminal server lockdown for remote users on SBS 2k3
Hi All
We have a SBS 2k3 network with 10 remote users who will
only ever use the SBS network using the Remote Web Workplace
capability of SBS over the internet. They will never have a SBS profile stored
on a pc either local to the SBS lan or local to the remote
user.
We plan to install a 2k3 terminal server on the SBS lan and implement
a TS lockdown policy giving the users a standard d...

Shift lock in a terminal server session
When users connect to the terminal server they sometimes experience a problem
that resembles the shift key being locked. The only way they can clear this
is to disconnect and reconnect.
They are connecting to it through tarantella if that makes a difference
I have turned off the sticky key options, this did not help.

paste password
We use to be able before to paste the password on the logon screen (because
we use complex passwords) but can't do this anymore. It looks like RDP 6.0
won't permit this anymore.
Is there a workaround to be able to paste password?
I tried the pre-logon window, and can't paste either in that window.
Thanks

Thin Client Software
I've got a few old PC's (P3 450mhz) lying around here that I'd like to
turn into thin clients. The problem I'm having is that they don't
support PXE and I don't want to spend any money on them. Anybody have a
good suggestion for a thin client OS that would work on them without a
PXE requirement?...

Old printers being autocreated
Recently we have replaced non-networked printers with networked
printers for some of our users and we are finding that the old LPT
type printers are being autocreated for these users, even though the
printer no longer exists.
We have a policy that is set to autocreated local (non-networked)
printers only (which could be part of the problem) and save settings
in user profile only - but as t...
