Applications are slow
I have a Windows 2003 server that is setup as a terminal server.
I have Office XP installed on the server. When I'm physically at the
server, I run a excel macro that only takes 2 minutes to run.
If I use Remote connection to that server and run the same excel macro. It
takes a very long time.
Why does it do this? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jasper

Printing issues
I am having a strange issue with a Windows 2008 Terminal Server. For the
last few days now, printing seems to stop functioning. The symptoms are
inability to view properties for a printer, and general communication issues
with the spooler service. When I attempt to restart the Print Spooler
service, I get the following error message and associated EventLog entry:

Terminal Server - complete beginner
Hi Guys,
I have been tasked with setting up some software running on a terminal
server. I have zero experience of this kind of thing so could do with more
reassurance than help really.
I have a 2003 server currently running a pretty basic program used in our
business. I was thinking of using this for our new application, by just
adding the Terminal Server component (and buying the ...

We develop a Win-32 application which interacts with Outlook and Word. If
they are all on the local PC this works fine; also fine if they are all in a

The program also runs **in isolation** as a RemoteApp but won't talk to Word

A full Terminal Server solution is not attractive to small prospective

I'm very green to TS and this is my first TS deployment.

everyone was connecting w/o a problem.

How to resolve these printer session issues in Terminal Services.
Every time someone opens a printer session, it seems to save an instance of
their printer in that session and will not disconnect when user logs out.
They will only go away with a reboot to the server. How too manage this
better?
Can I (in Terminal Services, via Active Directory?) lock down which printers

Windows 2K3 NLB Problem
Hi,
I would like a help, please:
- I have configured 2 server with TS and they are in NLB. I have published
the 2 TS through my ISA 2004 to external access.
In my LAN the NLB works very well but when an external user access the node
he/she is direct to onlye one TS.
It seems that ISA 2004 is filtering something.
Anyone knows if that is a ISA problem?
Thanks.
