How to refresh "Last Status Report" now?

Two questions: I'm looking at Computers > All Computer
1. When does the "Last Status Report" get updated?
2. Is there a way I can force WSUS to update now for a specifc computer?
Either from the client side or from the console?

Windows Internal Database will not start after Install Active Directory

I read the KB article below for the fix BUT where is the <MSI_File_Name> the
article is asking for? How can I download the job?

Event Viewer Errors 13042 13002 12002 12042 12052
I'm running WSUS 3.0, not the beta. These errors are on my WSUS server and
promply show when I run: wsusutil checkhealth
All are source: Windows Server Update
Event IDs in order from older to new, but all appearing in the same second.
13042 - Self-update is not working
13002 - Client computers are installing updates with a higher than 25
percent failure rate. This is not normal.

I've WSUS 3.0 running and until end of May all clients have connected
sucessfully and taken updates. However since thay have failed with the above
error when trying to connect to my wsus server.
When trying to URL in question directly in my browser, it get the following

Regional Update server?
Are there any other update servers available I can point my new installation
of WSUS 3 to?
Specifically in South Africa. Due to slow international speeds in SA it
would make life alot easier for me if there were closer update servers
available.

WSUS 3 download speeds
Hi
I have got 2 WSUS servers on the same ADSL link. 1 x WSUS ver 2 and 1 x WSUS
ver 3.
After approving updates it seems that the Ver 2 WSUS downloads quicker than
ver 3.
Is it me, the setup or WSUS?

can't uninstall WSUS3
our WSUS3 installation started to fail with various Windows internal
database errors. I'm trying to uninstall WSUS but it fails with an error.
The database has been uninstalled and the WSUS entree in add/remove programs
has gone! But I now can't uninstall or reinstall WSUS. I get an eventID
11725 Removal Failed, along with a number of ASP.NET errors eventid 1309.

WSUS Remote Web Page Not Available
Hi,
I have an SBS2003 server running WSUS 3.0. If I go to
http://servername:8530 I get a 403 error. I am trying to access this as an
administrator user (who is also a WSUS administrator).
Can someone please suggest a resolution to this?

Cannot Run WSUS - URGENT

were available ...
I closed this Console.
And Now. I cant find a link or a file where i can access the WSUS Console
anymore. so i dont know if its working or not.

Restart Notification
In checking WSUS the last few days to be sure updates have been applied I
noticed that many machines were waiting for a reboot. Until the June updates
this has not been an issue.

Still can't uninstall WSUS 3.0.....removed all regkeys pointing to wsus ans
well as update services......then imported the
HKLM\software\microsoft\UpdateServices from a working server to this
one......changed the WuYkoninstall to 0

Using WSUS in a disconnected network
I am trying to update a bunch of computers on a network not connected to the

Unable to connect to WSUS 3.0 server from MMC Console
The server and the computer where the admin console (mmc) is installed are
not on a domain. Each time I tried to connect to the wsus server I receive

Computer deleted from WSUS trying to reinstall updates
Hi guys,
I deleted a computer from the WSUS server cause I was planning to reformat
the computer and wanted it to get the updates again.
I then solved the problem the machine was having and didn't need to reformat.
The computer added itself again to WSUS, but has now downloaded updates it
has already installed, and keeps trying to reinstall them and failing.
How do I tell the WSUS server...

WSUS Deployment - start from scratch
We have a WSUS and currently we are autoamtically approving all updates
classifications... We have already some 100 client servers connected to WSUS.
Before we deploy to rest of our systems we want to start from scratch... Is

Cannot run after install
Hello,
I have just installed WSUS 3.0 on a Windows 2003 Server. It installed fine
and the wizard ran like normal. However when it went to start the MMC snap
in I got the error:
MMC cannot open the file c:\Program Files\Update
Services\administrationsnapin\wsus.msc

How To Exclude Updates Perminately For Specific Servers
Please bear with me while I try to explain the issue I'm running into. On
several of our servers we don't want IE7 pushed out to them so I setup a
Group for these servers and set the Approval="Not Approved" for that Group.
Unfortunately these servers are still showing up as needing the IE7 update.
What am I doing wrong?
