RDP to SBS 2008 from XP
I have a problem. I can connect to the SBS server from any Vista machine
just fine. When I go to my laptop, which connected to the old SBS server of
the same name (and IP -- which is now gone) RDP opens up the terminal window
BUT it keeps rejecting my username/password. Mind you, this is the exact
same username/password that I can use in Vista RDP or on the console.
I'm not sure if i...

SBS 2008 'full restore' how to?
Is there documentation explaining how to do a disaster recover of the SBS
partition if it were lost? I have SBS doing an automated full backup to a
spare internal drive for now. I also read about an SBS recovery DVD that
was only available through TechNet, Action Pack or MSDN.
I have all five DVDs from TechNet and Action Pack. I am wondering if DVD #2

Hello - thanks in advance for any assistance.
I have picked up a new client in the last couple of days, and their SBS 2003

I have just finished a complete re-install of SBS 2003 R2 because of
previous issues with WSUS and now I am working on setting up WSUS

OT: loudness of Dell servers
Hello!
I have clients with PE 840 servers that are fairly quiet. I am considering a
T300 with dual power supplies for my own home office. All of my equipment is
on a rack right next to me.
Does anyone have experience with the loudness of a T300 compared to that of
a PE 840? I looked on Dell's site at the "tech specs" for each server but
did not see a decibel rating.
I do not want ...

SBS 2008 setup/raid question
I setup SBS 2008 on a machine that has a 3Ware raid controller. It noticed
that when I did the setup, it was mentioning something about the on board
sata drive and I didn't think anything about it. Post setup, I have a 100GB
C: which is on the raid controller. I also have a D: which is the internally
fixed 160gb drive which is not part of the raid. It appears that during the
setup it...

Anyone seen the new Cisco UC520 products?
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has seen the new Cisco UC520 products
(basically which gets you started up with a router, firewall, and
basic PBX)? I am wondering how well it fits in with what people are
doing on SBS, as it would seem something that could be integrated
alongside the server?

People sent us emails with large attachments, but disappeared in cyberspace

When external users sent emails with large attachments (>15MB), we did
not receive them. And, the senders did not get any bounce backs or
errors. The emails were shoot out and disappeared.
I am not sure it was the SBS rejected them or the sender's ISP blocked
them.
The SBS limits the attachments to 10MB max, in case the se...
