Slow login when WAN is down
Whenever our WAN connectivity goes down, the logon process always takes 30 to
45 secs longer than usual. Our infrastructure is the typical setup will find
in most SMBs, 2 DCs (W2K3 SP2 R2), 1 XCHG 2K3. This has been bugging me for

SMTP Help
Just installed IIS and SMTP on my Windows 2003 R2 Standard server

Mapping public to private IPs in ISA 2006

Missing routing in LAN-WAN routing

I have 3 Class C private network:
LAN A: 192.168.0.0 Mask 255.255.255.0
LAN B: 192.168.99.0 Mask 255.255.255.0
LAN C: 192.168.100.0 Mask 255.255.255.0

DHCP Rollout
Hi,
Here is the current situation. I have approximately 300 client PCs
over 10 physical locations. All clients, printers, etc. are setup with
static IP addresses. The static nature of the IP addresses has to
remain but we are looking to introduce DHCP so the address assignment
is server based not client based. We are looking to do this with MAC
address reservations.

2003 Terminal Server adding licences
I have a 2003 Server x64, I purchased 5 additional licences, but I cant find

VISTA: Is it possible to bridge a bluetooth and wifi network?
In XP, you just select the two network connection icons, right click
em and choose bridge - easy! In vista, there is no option to bridge...
Clicking a single device and choosing bridge brings up the error:
"you must select at least 2 high speed internet devices that are not
being used by internet connection sharing".

What is the most surefire way to ensure that a nw drive is always mapped on
startup for any/all users ?

1 PC can't find domain controller
I have one pc on my 2003 ad domain that cannot find the DC.
what I have done: checked the ip address, it is pointing to our
internal dns servers, re-installed the NIC, renewed the ip address,
used static Ip address. swapped cables, Deleted the old comptuer name
from AD but still not able to connect. Can't browse, net use or ping

No http access - server 2003
I have a server running 2003. The server has 2 NICs one for the LAN, the
other for VPN. Everything was working OK until about a month ago. To the
best of my knowledge I did not change anything other than there have been
Microsoft updates installed which might have caused this.
While the rest of the network appears to be working OK, I cannot access web

Hide full path in Windows explorer of mapped drive
I am not sure which group this should go in so forgive me for posting the
same question in several groups.
I am using net use in the login script to show mapped drives in Windows
Explorer for my users.
it appears as Share on 'server\share' (V:)
Is there a way to just have it show as Share (V:)? I don't want the full
path there?

Windows Server 2003 for all machines.
For connections to network shares , how do I clear the cached logon account
information ( username / password )
This could be either for a connection which is succeeding or one which is
failing.
In other words, I would like to re-specify the logon account info.

Remote Desktop won't connect as console
I just installed the most up todate Server 2003 admin tools. I have "Connect
to console" check. I've also tried
mstsc -v:servername /F -console
and that didn't work etiher. It keeps wanting to start a new session. Our

What's the best way to share an internet connection across a network??
Currently we have our network set up as follows:-
- Domain Controller (Windows 2000 Server)
- Exchange Server (Windows 2000 - member server)

Internet Printer Sharing on Win2003 WebEdition

from. I know that Web edition does not allow for printer sharing, but
the documentation does mention Internet Printer sharing. I enabled
