DHCP Scopes
I'd appreciate some help with this...
I am using the DHCP service on my Windows 2003 server.
I had one scope on the server and one VLAN on my network (the default). The
scope is 10.140.0.0 with a subnet mask of 255.255.240.0.
I now have a new VLAN on my network (ID # 210).
I've setup a new scope that I want to use on this VLAN. The scope will be
10.200.10.0 with a subnet mask of ...

LAN RAS setup guide?
Is there a guide online dealing with using RRAS as just a LAN router?
I've got a setup using a dual-NIC win2k8 enterprise box to route two
networks. Each has their own internet connection. I just need to route
network A on 192.168.12.0 with network B on 192.168.1.0. The w2k8 box is
192.168.12.38 and 192.168.1.38. The RAS box itself can see both networks
and all devices just fine. T...

VPN problems RRAS stops routing VPN packets 5 minutes after being restarted
Whenever I restart the VPN, everything appears to be working properly
using PPTP. After RRAS has been running for about 5 minutes, I can no
longer connect to any of the computers on the remote network. This
includes the local area ip address of the RRAS server. At this point,
I can still disconnect and reconnect the VPN, but I cannot access
anything through the VPN.
I am also trying to ...

RAID 1 Card Recommendations
Hi all,
I have a Windows XP machine operating as a file server, and need to
add redundancy. I need a good PCI RAID 1 card with support for
bootable arrays. Does anyone have any recommendations? I am willing to
entertain both high and low end solutions although the more affordable
I can make this the easier it will be to pitch to my boss.
Thanks!

where to put a (web) proxy server
Hi,
is there a general rule for the locaion of a (web) proxy server?
Normally, we put the proxy server in LAN and configure a firewall rule to
restrict the web traffic through the proxy server to clients within LAN.
Some people want to put the proxy server in DMZ. Is this a good idea or bad?
Hope to hear opinions from you guys.
Thanks in dvance,
