Moving shares/security to new drive (SAN)

to move shares that are present on a single RAID 5 logical disk across
multiple SAN disks. Is there any good way to move the shares without
recreating share permissions.
Robocopy can migrate the NTFS permissions but I havent come across a way to

I need to migrate users from SBS 4.0 to Win2003r2. Cannot establish a trust
to use ADMT. Can I build an NT4 BDC on that domain and use that to establish
a trust? Even better, can I upgrade in place the BDC to Win2003r2?
Thanks

64 Bit Registry Uninstall Information
I wrote an MSI package that used the path found at
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Microsoft .NET
Framework 2.0\InstallLocation to determine where the .NET bin directory was
installed. However, on 64 bit systems, that path no longer exists. Where is
the new location which gives the uninstall information on a 64 bit system, so

software installed via gpo. I have tested this and it worked fine for my test

migrate from SBS 2003 Std SP1 to 2k3 R2 Std
I have a SBS 2k3 Stnd w/SP1 AD domain from which I need to migrate to
an 2k3 R2 Stnd AD domain. I know the AD Schema of 2k3 R2 is different
than that of SBS 2k3. So my questions are:
1) do I need to ADPREP my SBS 2k3 Stnd w/SP1 machine first with the
2nd cd from my 2k3 R2 Stnd cd and extend the schema to include the
changes in 2k3 R2?
2) If so, and after that is completed, I assume I ca...

DCPROMO and FSMO roles
Hello,
I have a W2000S running with the FSMO roles of PDC, RID, Infrastructure,
etcetera. All my other DC's are W2003S. I want to decommission this last

My question is this: Should I move the FSMO roles manually off the W2000S to
a W2003S DC or will the DCPROMO down to a domain member server of the W2000S
prompt me to move the roles to another DC...
