AD WS 2003 SP2 - Change password on unsecured connection from LDAP
Hello,
I'm trying to find a way to allow password change on our dev windows server
2003 AD over unsecured connection from LDAP, like in ADAM and 2008
(DS-BEHAVIOR). I searched the web for two whole days and came out short .
Is it possible at all? If the answer is yes than where is that sneaky flag?
Any help would be really appreciated.

uSNChanged Attribute not updated as expected
Hi
I am synching users and groups between an app and AD (2003 functional
level) and I have run into an issue where the uSNChanged attribute is
not updating as I would (possibly incorrectly) expect.
The app in question checks the uSNChanged attribute and makes changes
as required whenever the value has been incremented. If I manually
remove a user from a Group the uSNChanged value is incr...

I have already created the security groups and have added the appropriate

To test this, before I test the program, I have created a folder and set the
security to only allow one of these new security groups. I am a user in that

Make user an admin
Hi, we just gave each teacher a laptop. 90% of them chose mac, but those 10%
that are using Windows are causing problems. We are allowing them to be
administrators of their machine, but still want them to be restricted on all
other domain computers. I've set up these laptops in their own OU and have
disabled most restrictions on the user level, but it's still restricting them.
Ideas?...

I have come accross a problem with the "Account Expiration Date" and I am

From previous reading, I learned that "Account Expiration Date" is stored in
UTC in AD. I have also learned that setting this date via ADUC mmc does not
result in an exact (can be any time duri...
