Wireless Networking causing Slow Startup
Hi,
I have an All-In-One connecting to my Laptop using an Ad Hoc Wireless Network.
Things seemed to work OK until a week ago. Apart from updates, nothing
changed... no new hardware or software.
Physically switching off the Wireless Adaptor caused a noticeable slow down
in arriving at the DeskTop. Then, Live OneCare began generating an error
saying that the OneCare Service was stoppe...

Continuous TCP/IP error messages
Our pc has recently started to get locked up by what appear in the system
log as continuous strings of attempts to connect (to the router?). If I am
lucky enough to have process explorer open at the time I can kill IE and the
network adapter (v slowly!), otherwise the plug has to be pulled.
Last night I thought I had better do a check with PandaActiveScan on line.
When it finally got to th...

HP laptops w/ vista unable to see networks
Ok, this is going to be a little different I'm sure, but I do wireless
networking support for a popular ISP, and I'm running into a recurring issue
that I'd like to be able to solve myself.
It only occurs with HP laptops running Vista. We go to "Connect to..." and
select wireless to be shown, and half the time, we get "Windows cannot see
any networks." Now normally to me this would indi...

Wireless problems
Hi,
I connected my modem to a linksys router, and one of its net-port to a
desktop with a patch cable.
I have my laptop downstairs, for some reason the signal quality changes from
excellent to poor, then it deconnects.
The weirdest is, when this happens I can see other wireless networks in the
area, from some of my neighborhoods, but my network (again, it's just
upstairs!)
Even when ...
