Video Resolution on MC Extender
I just bought a Linksys DMA2200. I have an external drive with all my movies
ripped to it (VOB files). I have a wireless connection from my PC to my
Extender. I have it configured to recognize my movies (VOB files) in my DVD
Library.
I have a couple issues.
1. When I play my movies I cannot change the screen resolution. I can't play
widescreen and the quality isn't very good.

Mouse cursor disappears with Windows Media Center
I’m not entirely sure this odd problem is best asked in this topic, but it
does have to do almost entirely with Media Center.
I have dual screen and the mouse cursor disappears when I try to access the
Media Centre window. The solution I seek is to be able to re-display Media
Centre window on my monitor screen, not the TV screen, using the options and

Upgrading windows xp media center edition 2002 to media center 200
I'd like to upgrade my windows xp media center edition 2002 to media center
edition 2005. I'm not sure what this involves. I'm looking at purchasing
Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 w/SP2B for System Builders -
OEM. Is this all I need?

Vista Media Centre, Dual Tuner Bug - Tracking
I have solved this bug by getting a twin (therefore matched) tuner.
I tried to use two tuners - one card and one USB. Each tuner when used
alone works perfectly but when used together only one tuner tuned all the
channels, the other tuner reporting signal failure on about 30% of channels.
I tried to use the diagnostics (as shown in the Help) but they ar not present
for UK Freeview dig...

Vista Media Centre, Dual Tuner Bug - recording
I have two (identical) tuners. When scheduled before either program starts
two programs will record together, but when one program is already recording
media centre refuses to start a second either by direct manual request or by
trying to add the program to the schedule.
Media centre gives the error message "can only record one program at a time"

Fatal Execution Engine Error (0x7927f26e)
Any time I try to open media center on my compaq presario model sr1650
computer running Windows XP w/mce2005 I get this error and i dont know how to
correct it. After I click OK a box comes up that says "EHSHELL.EXE COMMON

Netflix in Windows Media Center
Why is Netflix available on xbox but not in Windows Media Center?
We paid for WMC and should not be expected to pay for additional hardware.

MPEG2 encoder and Media Center
Is anyone using a TV tuner card with a Hardware MPEG2 encoder and Media
Center? If so, do you know how to take advantage of the encoder with the
DVR in Media Center? Is there a way to get the DVR to use MPEG2 format
instead of WMV format?

Use of mediacenter
i' m using vista media center.
The music files to be used in the mediacenter has to be placed in the
medialibrary of hte media player.
Where can i find the rules/procedures to use this.
Is information how to use/handle the files in the mediacenter/media
player.

newbie needs help
I just got Vista Home Premium.
When i put a movie i burned in media center it won't play.
The play button is grayed out.
When i put in a Original DVD i bought in it plays.
Why can't i play my burned DVD's
It plays in Windows Media Player....

media centre keeps crashing
I am running windows vista home premium 64 bit edition. Have not had a drama
for over twelve months now recently Windows media centre now keeps crashing
after about a minute of use. Is there any sort of diagnostic program I can
run. I have not changed any hardware or made any software changes to my
system and have tried returning to earlier restore point but with no joy.

Services discontinued on Media Center
Until the week was able to view programs such as MSNBC, National Geographic
TV, etc. through my Vista ultimate desktop. My options on the navigation
screen have been appended and the message " no services found" appears. Were
these trial subscriptions or have I inadvertently changed some settings?

Can't find drivers
I installed a AVERTVHD MCE A180 tuner in the pci slot on my computer. I
downloaded drivers for it from AVERMEDIA. When I go to settings on my media
center for TV setup it comes up with cannot find drivers or card not working.
The tuner is for HDTV only and I do not have analog tuner or space to
install it....

Will Media Center 2004 Guide Retrieve Digital Stations Come Feb 20
I have Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 Version 5.1. I use an antenna for
TV and so to retrieve the Guide I choose "antenna" as the TV signal. The TV
frequency is changing from analog to digital February 2009 and so I will need
to use a converter box -- will the guide listing update to the new digital

What are the current options for wireless transmittal of videos from
XP Media Center Computer to a tv set in an adjacent room? I do have

Service Pack 3 causes Blue Screen.Computer Useless.
I bought a laptop about a month ago and today at 6pm Service Pack 3 was
installed.I immediately got a blue screen after the instalation and every
time I boot up I get the blue screen after a minute making the laptop
unusable.The hard drive is 93% free.

MSIE can't view photos after installing MCE
I can't view photos (.jpg .gif) on MSIE 7 after re-installing windows XP
Media Center Edition 2005. I can go into the tools/internet
options/advanced/multimedia "show pictures" tab and reselect the option. But
when I reboot the computer and go back into MSIE the problem reoccurs. I've

PC no longer recognizes CD, DVD and floppy drives
My internal CD burner and floppy drive as well as an after market external
CD/DVD burner have all stopped functioning at the same time. The floppy
still shows up under my computer but the CD and DVD drives don't even show.
Since they have all stopped at the same time, I was assuming this was more

Service provider rearranged channels
Hi
A week ago my service provider (YouSee in Denmark) rearranged their channels
to different frequencies, but the changes have not yet come in my MCE - even
though I many times have Set Up Guide Listings. It is still the old channels
on their old frequencies. This is a big problem, because it now records
programs on channels where the programs are not showing.

Need a low power (not a gamer) PCI Express Video Card with DVI-DHCP for Media Center 2005. MVPs?
I have a Dell Dimension 9150 that is loaded to the max. 3 TB HD space. I
need a low power card to replace an OEM ATI Radeon X600 256MB Media Center
Video Card. I bought a new monitor and the cables are now DVI-DHCP for
digital copy protection and my Media Center 2005 Video looks awful on my new
22" LG Monitor. XP Pro environment is fine.
