(OT) The installer installes live toolbar but how can I remove it?
In the past you could go to programs and features and uninstall gallery, or
live mail or toolbar etc...
now you cant remove only one of those... how can I remove live toolbar?

WLM Wave 3 Beta: Extracting MSI Package
Hi,
Does anyone know of any way to extract the MSI package used for installing
WLM and Windows Live Signin Assistant?
I currently deploy WLM via GPO but this is the previous version - I'd like
to be able to create new GPO for the Beta, however I can't see where the
MSI file gets extracted to during download and installation?

Multiple/Duplicate Contacts
I There,
I need some urgent assistance with Windows Live Messenger 8.1 contacts.
Here's the issue:
Recently reformatted my pc and as soon as I installed Messenger and logged
on there were double contacts of all my current contacts. I deleted the

display on hotmail.
after i sign in, i double click to go to my inbox. my inbox looks like
layers of layers of window on top of window. the side bar is black & can not
read. It is layering at least 3 things in the side bar pane. when i manually
go to hotmail, i do not have these issues. email me the fix. I've not
changed anything. i did add kiwee, but i do not believe this would be an
issue to my inbox....

ERROR 81000306
Hello
I have messenger 08 and XP version 2. I cannot sign in due to error 81000306.
I have tried all the instructions of the guide and also checked that
everything is actually running and it is. The error remains and I cannot sign
in.
I tried to write to the support, but no way. They say it is because of the
comunication settings, but I choosed all Internet users.
What shall I do...

why is the "view by conversation bug" still not fixed???
it still happens with the latest beta that i go to newsgroups and now
manually need to re-enable conversation view, it just forgets the setting.
well, at least it's placed directly in the view menu now, which is of course
hidden, nor available under the "menus" button like in messenger.

Thanks but I tried to change the icon as per your detailed instructions
Robert but I had no luck. I did exaclty what you said and the icon reverts
back the the small e on a white background.
I get the two-tab version and still cannot change it.

WLM Get faultcode: Windows Live Communication Platform has stoped working
Hi!
Evrerytime I try to start WLM 9 Beta i get a faultcode: Windows Live
Communication Platform has stoped working. What is that and is there a
workaround or an easy fix for it, I would LOVE to try out the new messenger
and Live Writer looks interresting since I do alot of blogging. Can some or
anyone out there help..?

File Transfer - indicating a AntiVirus .exe
I am using WLMessenger 9b and I have an issue with file transfer.
I use a McAfee product as AntiVirus and Firewall. I have once asked in their
forum what file should I point to in the File transfer options of WLM. I was
answered that since every file in and out through WLM was automatically
scanned by the AV, there was no need to point to a file.
In v9, you can only transfer some types...

Error 0x80070643 when installing WLM 2009
I got this error code when i should try to install Windows Live
Messenger 2009, a new version was up today on MSN.se/com, the older one
didn't work and this one won't work either. I now got version
14.0.8050.1202 on WLMsetup-web exe file. the blogg program and toolbar
is installed and updated, but WLM, Mail, photo and movie maker won't be
installed cos of this error, i got Windows Vista Ultimate ...

Incoming call notification
When receiving incoming calls I often don't get any ring sounds to alert me
that a contact is online, or sometimes I will get one ringing sound to let me
know.
In the past if I had an incoming video call WM woulf let the ringing sound
continue until I answered the call.
Often my contacts say that they heard the connection ringing about 20 times
or so, but I hear nothing at my end.

Messenger Sign in Error 81000451
Hi -
We're getting quite a few reports of users not being able to sign into
Messenger due to this error. We're tracking the bug and it will be fixed in
the final release. We're also working on how to fix it for current users who
have gotten into this state.
In the meanwhile, to prevent this from happening, do not block, then leave a
Group.

Windows Mobile Messenger "problem with the server"

I have been having a lot of trouble recently with Windows Live for Windows
Mobile. I am unable to sign into messenger because of an error message "There

After a long and ultimately fruitless email discussion with Windows Live
Support, they eventually suggested that I upgrade to the latest Windows Live

Contacts Lost
I just got myself a new phone with Windows Live pre-installed in it so I
decided to try it out. My Messenger contacts got added to my phone list, so I
decided to delete them without knowing that it will be deleted from Messenger
too, so I am now left with a Messenger with ZERO contacts.
Is there any way I can get them back. This really comes across as something

Windows Live Messenger 2009 RC Display Picture Size Bug Issue
