Messenger History function has disappeared
My computer crashed and I had to return to factory settings. Subsequently
my messenger history, which had worked previously, no longer worked. On
seeing the advice below a few minutes ago, I downloaded Messenger Plus!
Live, but on attempting to install it received the message "Infection Trojan
horse Generic.IFA". I have now sent it to the Vault. Can't I use this
addition?

cant edit the account setting
i tried many times ti enter my account settings but till now i couldn't it
still loading all the time but with no result
the speed in my connection is 100mbps is it too slow to load the the page
i need help
any other method to change the setting...

WLM + Remote Assistance + Linksys Routers
I've been having one heck of a time getting Remote Assistance working
between my sister and me. Both of us run Win XP SP2 and both of us have
Linksys Routers. Hers is a Wireless G, Mine is the WRT310N. While

someone else logged in to their hotmail on my user account now every time i
turn my computer on my user account shows how many messages she has got even
though my account has been logged on how do i change this...

problem
I have installed Windows Live Messenger 2009 (14.0.5027.908), but when I
click "sign In" I receive error

and receive momentally, seems, it's even not try to login.

File transfers in Windows Live Messenger a problem
Hi
I am running Windows Live Messenger 8.5.1302.1018. Every time I try to
transfer a file to someone they do not get the invitation and I have to log
out and come back in again before the invitation shows on their screen. That
also happens in reverse when someone is trying to send me a file. Any ideas
or suggestions to rectify this problem would be most welcome. Many thanks

Having two big problems installing 2009 beta
The first thing is it won't install unless I turn off the firewall, which is
live one-care. if I tried I would get message: ERROR: 0x8104000b, and the
install would cancell. After I turn the firewall off it would go ahead and
install, until it got to the very end of the instllation. I then would get a
message from Live One-Care:
Windows Live OneCare found potentially harmful or unwanted...

unable to see one contact
I just added a contact and the first time it said it was offline but he was
able to see me but I can not send messages to him or viceversa? how do I fix
this? if a 3rd party starts a chat with the 3 of us I can see what the
contact I added is typing buy he can not see when I am typing.....weird...

Messenger and Hotmail
I can log into Windows Messenger....BUT when I click on the link to check my
Hotmail inbox, the link stops responding and I can't access my Hotmail inbox.
What is wrong?

WLM Beta (9.0) Missing Menu Text
You know when you click on your name in Live Messenger? It should come
up with a menu with an 'Options' tab (Among others), but the text does
not appear!
I shall add a screenshot of the problem:

contact side of history missing
how is it possible for one of contacts that in the history window only my
side of the conversation is there The lines where my contact's history is
supposed to be Its empty????...

I copy emoticons from friends and add them to my "your emoticons". They add
to my list. The next time i sign in some are gone. I try to copy them
again from my friends and it says "the image you choose is already being used
for another emoticon. Please choose another image." In my list.. i do not
have this image. And when i type in the shortcut it doesnt come up. How can

MSN Freezing only
Installed to test as I use MSN often for work. Not long after installating
MSN freezes and I have to end the msnmgr.exe process. This happened 3 times
before i uninstalled as I can't work with it.
Using Vista SP1 32bit with latest updates. This was an upgrade from the
previous edition (if it did upgrade, might have uninstalled first)...

MSN Beta Feedback
Hi,
I would really like to see an easier way to leave feedback, something like a
link on the beta messenger itself to a form that's quick and simple to fill
in.
You're not going to get many responses from people as most of them don't
have time to sign up or find the necessary forum. It took me 5 mins to find

Lan based IM question (I need a good IM client)
We've got a very small shop (4 users) who need to IM to each other. I
installed a very simple IM server (12planet) and they have 2 very
simple IM clients. One is java based and one is a litter better as it
will minimize to the system tray (just about perfect for us). The
only thing lacking is there is no sound in these IM clients.

messenger 2009 beta
recently i downloaded windows live messenger 2009 beta on my laptop and
it disabled my internet explorer, i tested this out on my computer to be
sure of this and after discovering so i uninstalled it from the
computer, i then typed in the code to un-install messenger manually and
internet explorer is still not coming on, what should i do?:cry:

WLM 9 Beta: Animated DP.
The "moving" Display Pictures are not new, but with animated gifs, there will
surely be an higher demand in their use (at least in the beginning).
Now, there will surely appear some users that will try to be somewhat stupid
and use a display picture with stupid DP. (Here I'm talking to fast
switching, annoying animations).

Messenger 8.5 message history lost for a contact
I was using Messenger 8.5 earlier, and I have the option to log all the
messages activated.
I finished chatting to a contact, then later looked at the message history
to check something, and the discussion we had had earlier did not appear in
the history.
Can I recover this from somewhere?
The message had some important information in it....

I have found in Internet recommendation to remove tick at Check for Server
certificate revocation (requires restart) check box in Explorer Options. But
when I restarted Explorer this tick appeared again, how could I constantly
remove this tick.
