Cannot install windows live mail
I have tried to instal windows live mail twice & both times it says there is
a problem & to try later. Why will it not install on my computer. I have a
new computer with plenty of space

Contacts list - mysteriously adding duplicate - daily!
Yesterday, I downloaded and set up Windows Live Mail. Can anyone advise me
what I might have down wrong to cause the Contacts feature to self-replicate
and continually add repeat entries. I normally have 350+ entries. The next
time I look, there are 700+, then 900+. I have wasted hours deleting the
duplicate entries, but they come back with a vengeance.

How to arrange Incoming mails according 'To: Address'
Please,
my internet provider allows me to declare 3 aliases
for one real email account.
According to, I defined 3 email accounts In Windows Live Mail.
Because spam deletion on server site,
I only synchronize belonging new mails manually.
So if choosing one of this address for 'send and receive',
I get all emails with all aliases.
But all are arranged in the same folder,

Regarding quick views in WLM
Does it have to be the same columns in every quick view folder?
Of course I like to see FROM in "all inbox" view,
but not FROM in "all sent" view, that should be TO to make any sense.
Have I missed something or is it impossible to have different settings for
views in "quick views"?

I have been getting "There was an error when attempting to connect to the
Windows Live Calendar service. If the error persists, check to see if there's

Bounce back messages
I need help! I have messages that are being sent back to sender because it
says that I have almost used up my bytes. I have perm. deleted all but about
100 messages. None of these messages have any pictures. But things are
still going back. Do I need to delet something else?

Interesting (Minor) Migration Error
I very recently migrated from Windows Mail to Windows Live Mail. Until today
I considered it the easiest migration that I have ever encountered.
But I just saw that (at least) one mail message folder didn't migrate - just
not there in Windows Live Mail. All the other folders in that same folder
are there - just this one is missing. It is hardly anything special
containing only 20 or so ...

Beta: error forwarding news messages
After update to beta (14.0.5027.0908), I cannot forward newsgroup messages
to email address.
This is probably because setup of the beta resets the default email app.
So if you have this annoying symptom, just check that your default mail app
is set.
This solved the prob for me.
Until I did this, I got very unhelpful popup "An error occured replying or
forwarding this message".

WLM only on 1 of my 4 computers started giving me the folllowing error
message about 2 days ago:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Yahoo account. An unknown error
has occurred.

Ststem freezes with WLM open.
After opening WLM, elapse time of about 5 mins., sytems freezes have to shut
down by pressing the power button. Have uninstalled and reinstalled but no
luck.
System don't have any new software installed....

WLM Crashes When Trying To Open Second Attachment
Just this week, WLM started crashing if a message has more than one
attachment and I attempt to save the attachments. I use the Business version
of Vista 32-bit. I've installed no new software, and my virus protection is
Norton Internet Security. This problem just started happening out of the

This morning, for the first time ever (never before), I received the above
message, aftre having sent maybe 4-5 emails in less than 24 hours. In the

Invitation not Shown in Windows Live Calender
After accepting an Email invitation the invitation is not only visible in
Windows Live Calender but in MSN Calender. I was not able to find a solution
to solve this problem. Can somebody help me out?

'Hide When Minimized' Problem
When using the 'Hide When Minimized' option, Windows Live Mail always jumps
back to the Inbox folder when restoring the window. This is not a problem
when the 'Hide When Minimized' function is turned off.
I would like to remain in the folder or view I was in previously when
minimizing a program, regardless of whether it minimizes to the taskbar or

WLM stops when trying to save jpg file
This past week/weekend my WLM desktop stops working when I try to save an
attached jpg file. Other files like doc & pdf work fine. I restart Vista
business and it still fails.
I have to get this resolved very quickly as my business relies on working
with clients and attached files.
