Somone please talk me through the steps of setting up
Uhm this is going to sound kinda stupid but How do I set up a pop3 and a
stmp or whatever it is to use my email on here, I have been trying now for
two hours reading everything but I still don't understand this.

How do I uninstall WL Essentials????
I would like to go back to the original Windows Live Mail, the one with the
icons and no online synchronization. I tried to uninstall "WL Essentials"
through Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and then clicking on Remove
Essentials. A brief blink and NOTHING happens.
This REALLY bugs me as it is MY computer and now MS decides I cannot

How to change order messages are read?
OK, Outlook Express and Outlook (proper) allow you to change the order that
messages are read. In other words, if I have my newest message appear at the
top of the list, but I start reading messages from the oldest unread message,
I want it to move to the next message (unread) instead of going in reverse
chronicolagical order. I can do this in the other 2 clients but not this

Can I turn of CRL checking for Signed Email in Windows Live Mail
Short version of a long story.
The DoD (Department of Defense) has so many expired Certificates in their CA
Hierarchy that they use OCSP (online certificate revokation protocal) instead
of CRL lists for the intermediate CA(s).
This works fine on DoD issues hardware, which includes an OCSP Client that
overrides LSA.dll.

Adding a song that plays in an Outlook email -- can't get to work
Hi!
Outlook Express has the feature of being able to automatically play music
when an email is opened by the recipient, and I would like to use this
function when I send an email, but I have been unable to get it to play the
music. I was wondering if anyone knows how to get this feature to work.

Where are my files?
Out of the blue, I opened my my WLM desktop email account only to find that
some folders are totally missing!
I did NOT delete them & they were there earlier today.
For example I of them is named Earners. I have any surveys etc
automatically moved to the folder via rules I set. There are about 4 very
IMPORTANT folders that I MUST get back. How do I do this please?

Previous version of Windows Live Mail to Windows Live Mail 14.0.80
The last version of Windows Live Mail does not import automatically the
address book of the previous versions… Any person who installs it thus loses
all her address book… Not brilliant! Previously, the address book was made
with .Contact files stored in the storage folder, sub-directory
Contact\Default.

How can I use my CAcert certificates?
Hi there,
I have a CAcert.org certificate which has been created with my name and 4
email addresses.
They are all in my certificate store.
I can see them in tools/safety options.
However I can't pick them account/properties/security tab.
What am I doing wrong?
Or are certificates with multiple email addresses not allowed?

Gmail and Windows Live Mail
Okay, I've been putting up for this error for almost a year now without
complaining. Am I the only one who uses Gmail IMAP (setup correctly according
to Gmail configuration recommendations) and gets the following error
constantly when switching between folders? This error doesn't happen every

Installer Catastrophic Failure.
I downloaded the installer for the Windows Live Line of programs.
I invariably get a catastrophic error when I get to the window
that allows you to click "install". I don't want to have to
spend hours or days troubleshooting the problem, so I was
wondering if there are standalone versions of each of these
programs that I can download. Any idea where I could find such?

DHCP Problem
I cannot connect to the internet to sign in with my server. I did a
hard shutdown when I was in a rush and I think I hurt the machine. The
error message I keep getting is, "DHCP client service is not running on
this computer". How can I restore my computer.
I have Vista Business on a HP a1744x w/AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core

WLM Beta Contacts Problem
I have WLM Beta (version 14) on a pc running win xp sp 3
I can't get any of my contacts to import from csv files, from Outlook or
from Hotmail.
If I manually enter a contact it looks fine but when I next open WLM it is
missing again and I have an empty contact list.

Painful Problem -- Windows Live ID
Over the past 2 days I have begun to suddenly get a Windows Live ID window
when I attempt to start Windows Live Mail Desktop. I have removed and
reinstalled
WLM, but the problem is still there.
The problem began after I -- very stupid in retrospect -- looked at Windows
Live & played around with 'spaces'. I have deleted all the 'spaces' stuff I

Windows Live Support Underwhelms!
Holy smokes Windows Live Team, you really need to get your act together.
I have a paid Windows Hotmail Account, so when I have an issue. I expect to

Cant move messages
When I try to move a message after it has been read to one of the storage
folders I get the message "an unknown error has occurred" I have went to add
remove programes and tried to use the repair facility but still it wont work,

not receiving mail from one domain - why? - not blocked
I'm receiving mail from everyone except for anyone from summitchurch.cc
I know that the .cc is an unusual domain, but it is what my church uses.
Several staff members with different addresses (same domain) have tried
emailing me and all are using my correct email address. I've checked my rules

Help me PLEASE!
I just set up an account with Windows Live Mail. I can receive mail with
no problem, but I can't send mail at all. This is the error message:

Block Senders
In the block Senders window, it said " click Delete and block " and the
message(s) will be bounced back to the senders.

Pop vs IMAP
My mailbox service offers a 15MB POP account or a 100MB IMAP account
....both are free with my basic service. (TELUS). I'm trying to figure out
whether I should switch from the POP service to the IMAP service. I have no
