IE 7 back to IE 6
I just got a new computer (new to me anyway) and it has IE 7, our company
does not allow IE7 or above because of the tabs due to security reasons. How
do I change my new computer back to IE6
I log on from home to a company sever but can not from my new computer
becasue of IE7....

Opening webpage links
I have two links to files on my web page, one file has the extension on
..css, the other has the extension of .htc. If I use FireFox, both are
displayed by the browers as URL's.
If I try to load them in IE, the .htc is loaded by frontpage (This is how
it's defined in my Folder Options, File Types.). When I try to load the .css

IE6 Hi-jacked?

This is about as strange as I've ever seen ...
W2K SP4 desktop, Sunbelt/Kerio pers. firewall, AVG, Spybot S&D, IE6.
I've used IE6 to access Fidelity sites for years. No change in IE6
settings for ages.

Problems with opening Internet Explorer
I'm having a problem opening IE under only one of the accounts on my system.
It's running XP SP2 and IE 6.0. Most of the time, IE won't open, independent
of whether I use the START menu, QuickLaunch icon or iexplore from the Run
box. I've noticed that in the Processes section of the Task Manager that when
IEXPLORE.EXE loads properly, the Memory Usage is a minimum of 30,000-50,000 k

internet explorer 6 keeps reloading
please i have trouble with ie 6 reloading itself up to 21 times.
i have xp and my pc is not even 6 months old.
when i try to close or x out, it won't let me. just keeps reloading pages.

Margins

PDF - IE6 VS IE7 and FF
Hello all
Our site includes loads of PDF's links and it doesn't work on IE6
only.
When I am trying to open it in the browser it says: Error occured, but
if I am saving it on my pc, it is working fine.
The problem is not occured on IE7 or FF.
More details:
* We recently moved from Windows servers to Linux servers.
* All other files such as docs are working fine.

IE6 problems with verizon search
Hi, wonder if someone could help. I have IE6 XP Pro, just lately whenever i
click the "search button" in the IE6 tool bar, i used to have yahoo as my

Finding text
Hello,
Why is it that if you use Ctrl+F (Find text) to find a string of text in a page
and it finds it, it defaults to that text the next time you want to find some
text, but if it doesn't find it you have to type the text in again next time?
The logic seems to be that because you didn't find it the first time you don't
want to look for it any more so you'd rather have an empty box, eve...

FLASH9F.OCX (continually crashes browser)
The above error message has been occurring increasingly often lately as my

web-page print suddenly large
On IE 6 SP3, print size on web page print has suddenly ballooned to twice its
former size. Also, icons displayed on web pages now print as red 'x' inside
a square.
Web page has not changed; it prints normally from other PCs that also have
IE6, SP3 installed.
Any suggestions?

Why does IE browser is slower than mozilla firefox. is there any suggestion

Connect to router via ip address
I am using vista and ie and am trying to connect to a router and also a NAS
storage drive via typing the ip address into the internet explorer address
bar.
I keep getting that windows can not find the IP address, however a different
vista machine has no problems at all.
This is a wired connection rather than a wireless one.
Does anyone have any ideas why i can not connect?...

Favorites Possibly Corrupt
Hi,
I have a friend with a "Favorites" problem. They seemed to have stopped
working. When he clicks on a link, it comes back with the "site not found"
error message. In some instances, I can actually see misc. characters
automatically inserted in front of the URL in the address field..

OE6 hangup after start
I'm running XP Home & IE6 with OE6. When I start the computer, it takes a
long time to start OE6. A window pops up saying "setting up personalized
settings for MS Outlook Express 6". If I start the computer and let it idle
for 10 minutes, OE will open quickly (as normal). This began after I had the
registry fixed to solve a problem with no MS update service. There are 4

IE6 error message when closing
Too minor to trouble me much...
but I thought I'd ask anyway.
My main machine runs Windows 2000
and has performed flawlessly for *many* years.
I often use IE6
and have never had even the slightest problem with it.
Machine has all updates and has been scanned for malware etc.
The only problem I have is that within the last few months,
when I close IE6 (maybe one out of 20 times).....

Cant clear Proxy check box in Explorer
Hello,
I am helping my parents switch over to comcast high speed. They have ALWAYS
used aol with a dial up connection. The cabe guy came and pulled the cable
and said he had them online but told me there was a problem with the proxy
settings. I told him I would go get it figured out. The network connections
seem to be fine but when I open Internet explorer it wont hit the internet.

IE7 does not change icon
IE7 does not change any icons of "web documents" (Desktop right click ->
Properties -> Change icon). Sometimes the selected new icon flits on the
display, but does not stay. Icons of local programs can be changed OK. IE
