How to change default 'save as' file type
Does anyone know how to change/set the default save as type in IE7 to "Web
page, html only, .HTML"
So here's my problem. Several times a day I, and other coworkers, have to
save data taken from a website to an html file to be imported into a
database. Currently the default save as file type is "Web Archive, MHT".
Saving as an mht causes many errors, and manually changing it 6 times a...

How do we save linked webpages?
Some companies provide product manuals or guides in HTML format on their
webpage versus .PDF format. The .PDF manual is easy to download as a
reference. However, what if the manual is in HTML format? Is there a way
to download the webpage for the manual, including all the webpages linked to
the table of contents on the main page that comprise the manual?

MSIE pop up this is an example of stchk for spyware?
On a site I go to , I get a popup saying "this is an example systecheeck
for spyware and privacy threats. Please refrain from closing window until
scanning is finished. We highly recommend installing a full version of
windows antivirus scanner to monitor your pic for possible threats and other
security.
Then gives me a site.

This keeps popping up. In fact it did it as I started typing this. When I
hit the back button it took me back, but this doesn't always fix the problem.
For instance if I go to Games on msn, it goes through everything and then
says action cancelled and when I hit play again the sane thing happens. I
already checked the filename for Hosts and Hosts is there without anything

search problems in ie 6
All of sudden when going to google or yahoo search all of the results seem to
be links to something other than what they should be, as if adware or spyware
were interferring. I have cleaned cookies and temp files and have cleaned
spyware as well. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks

persistent sporadic slow respnse time for IE 6.0
I am having a persistent sporadic problem; My IE 6.0 sometimes takes for
ever to load a web page, that is not in the page cache (pages I visit often
that do not change, i.e.: Google home page). I can not even access Microsoft
Knowledge Base pages to research the problem. Sometimes when I reset my

Toolbar dilemma
I customized the toolbar of IE 6 on XP Pro displaying fewer icons. Now, every
time I launch the browser, the default toolbar appears for a fraction of a

Printing blank &/or no text pages

copy & pasting to my word processor. Countless users have reported this

Preventing Internet Explorer updates.
I have a system that has internet explorer 6 on it. I have seen where you can
restrict the update of IE6 to IE7 but I'm unsure how to do it. Installing
other programs are not affected, but when you try to install IE7 on top, it
won't let you.

I am trying to download ei6, and keep getting a pop-up saying to close all
other programs and try again. I have done this several times, and still can

Cookies affecting operation?
Based on some suggestions seen here and other places I have been adding
cookies to my IE6 tools - Internet options - privacy - sites file by
manually not allowing . I have either lost ability to contact some sites or
they are coincidentally down. I am receiving the old 404 " page cannot be
displayed ect" message after timing out.

Browser closes when trying to print page in iframe

Running XP SP2 and IE6. This is a problem I'm having on a website we
developed part of.
I'm having the problem printing the page in the iframe at the following

IE6 does not let me read the NY Times
I just reinstalled windows XP SP2 with IE6.
The internet works fine on all websites, except when I try to access the New
York Times ( www.nytimes.com ). The site freezes almost immediately and
prevents me from accessing links from this site.

My MS IE v6.0 browser has been hijacked
When I visit www.bankofamerica.com, there is an additional field
"Enter ATM card number:"
When I visit www.wellsfargo.com, there is an additional field for "ATM
