Serving web pages
I have my WinXP x64 loaded with two ASP.NET applications. One is a version
1.1 and the other is 2.0. Generally, I use a dynamic DNS service to surf to
my computer and use my personal web applications but in this case I can't.
Apperantly it has to be either one or the other because there is no ASP.NET
property tab in IIS 6.0.
Is this yet another time I have been screwed by M$!!!

I realy do need help with System Restore in Windows XP Pro 64bit
Hi thanks for reading my message. I am running the 64bit version of
Windows XP Pro and am having problems with the System Restore not
working correctly. The system is all up to date with windows updates
and I am logged in as the administrator. I have searched all over the
Internet and can't find an answer to my problem, even on the Microsoft
site everything they tell me to do is not available...

MSXML issues in 64 bit
MSXML issues in 64 bit
I have a C# web application which leverages MSXML that I am trying to
migrate to a 64 bit environment. Currently the application is built
on the .NET 2.0 Framework and using MSXML 6 (though I had the same
issues using version 4). The OS I am running the app on is Windows
Server 2003 x64. I am using the x64 version of MSXML6 on the server.

How do I setup a 32 bit IE7 since I'm using a 64 Bit IE7
After value dating my operational system I get the Following screen:"We need
to open a 32-bit version of Internet Explorer. You can still install updates
for your 64-bit version of Windows. However, you need to use a 32-bit version
of the browser to view the website."
When it try’s to open the 32 bit IE7 I get an Error=2146827859 problem.
How do I solve it since the Microsoft websit...

Vista x64 unattended
None of the settings I used in autounattend.xml has any effect while
installing Vista Ultimate x64 (used Windows SIM to create and verify the
file), any one can explain why?

Can't access Help & Support on my new Vista installation
When I click Help & Support the window comes up blank, then a pop-up tells me
Internet Explorer unable to access this site. The requested site is
unavailable or cannot be found, please try later.
This has been going on since I yesterday when I turned the computer on for
the first time, yet I can access everything else on the internet. What do I

Anytime Upgrade to 64-Bit
Hi there, this question is probably quite simple, but if I choose to upgrade
to Vista Ultimate via the Anytime Upgrade - does that include the 64-bit
edition as recently I have found out that my machine is actually dual core.
If not, what is the best method of getting 64bit ?...

which one should i prefer for my laptop

dvd player
I was wondering if someone can help me. I have got a 64 bit media centre that
runs on windows vista. Every time i play a dvd i am getting background sound
but i am not getting the actual speach.
I am not very computer literate but could do with some help. I am getting
alittle confused as some of the info says vista does not need codecs and some
say that i should.

for the service pack 2 is still valid the MUI for xp x64 than before??

Use custom GINA
Hi, I have a problem with use of custom GINA under Windows 2003 x64.
At logon the system crash and I must restart and use msginam, under other
OS, like Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 (all x32), my custom GINA
works well. Why? I had compile it under Windows 2003 x64 but have the same
problem. Who can help me?

Win 64 Repair Not Booting
I have the bios set to boot from the cd. I get the screen that asks me
to press any button to continue and I do. Instead of the next screen
being the repair screen/options, my system boots Xp and goes into the
fully operating system. I am running Win XP sp2. The original install
disk is the Student Media/Work At Home Media version of XP 64. I would
like to repair XP 64 but my system bypasses...

Garmin Nuvi 350 and POI Loader
A good news story here on Ultimate x64. Got a NUVI 350 GPS. USB
connectivity (including if you have an SD card in the slot) works
transpaently. And the POI loader software that does not mention that
it is compatibile with Vista works.
Now I know where I'm going <G>

I have Windows Server R2 2003 computer. I'm using remote desktop for
administration.
When I cannot connect to my server from Remote Desktop program I received
next error in the Event Log:
Source: winlogon
ID: 1219
Logon rejected for domain\adminuser. Unable to obtain Terminal Server User
Configuration. Error: The specified domain either does not exist or could not
be contacted.

Has anyone got shockwave player to install
I have been trying to get shockwave player to install now over 3 months. I
tried once ever month. But it still gives me an error. And adobe states that
they don't have one for the 64-bit bowser yet.
Any help would be appreciated?...

x64 SP2 failed install
I am having trouble with 3 Updates for XP x64. Service pack 2, RDC update
925876 and Security Update 928843. I have enabled verbose logging, followed
the steps in 873148, but there is no Error 5. I have no idea where to go. Can
anyone help? I emailed the Automatic Update helpers, but they just told me to
come here. I have gone round in circles with this. Two machines, one fresh

Group policy not taking affect
I am trying to enable to active desktop and force a specific background. I
have no problem with XP Pro 32 bit, I cannot get it to work with 64 machines.
I have tried the gpupdate, etc. I am totally stumped....

Offline Files
My laptop (Centrino Duo2 2.0, 2GB RAM Vista Ultimate x64) runs at 100% while
at home. I have found this is because of my offline files. I have a desktop
with an external drive connected and shared. All of my media (about 30GB) is
here. I have selected this share for offline files on my laptop.
There are two problems with this:
