Cannot access control panel or Welcome Centre??
I have just finished installing Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit edition on my newly built PC. However, I can no longer access the control panel or welcome centre program as when I click on them nothing happens. I have heard of this briefly before & believe it has something to do with Nvidia drivers overwriting a file or something. My spec is as follows: - Quad core cpu Asus P5...

X64 and Itunes
Has anyone else had a problem with ITUNES and X64? I installed it with no problem, it will see the IPOD, but will not synchronize to it. No errors, it just won't write any files. USB finds it as a storage device, and 32bit XP on the same computer works fine. Thoughts?...

Bit the bullet-now what?
Well, I did it. Ordered a 15" 2.33 GHz Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro with the big hard drive this morning. If it isn't here by my birthday I'll pull out my printed copy of the order to look at while I blow out the candles. So now the question is: By which rituals and through how much sacrifice do I appease the Redmond gods for this transgression sufficiently to set this thing up with its na...

Modem for Vista 64
Back many weeks ago I asked about Vista 64 compatible modems, couldn't find any drivers for my ancient Hayes WinModem. I looked at Microsoft's compatibility list but found the pickings were very thin. I finally admitted defeat and installed my USR Sportster external which was my absolute last choice for two reasons, I wanted an internal modem (no more power outlets!) and I use NetZero ...
